Yuck. Why would anyone give this junkie another dime?
And I'm not living this life without you, I'm selfish and clear
And you're not leaving here without me, I don't wanna be without
My best... friend. Wake up, to see you could have it all
November, Correct. HOWEVER, the album has been reviewed in detail, so I am assuming it is out there somewhere. Not really a surprise to request or find an album 2 months before release...What was the last album you actually had to wait for the release to hear?

Can you post this review you speak of? I did a few searches and couldn't find anything.
And yea I agree pretty much all album DO leak before they're released. Two months is a bit of a stretch, but I do recall Cornell's Carry On album being leaked about 2 months before it's official release.
12 Bar Blues was a great disc, can't wait to pick up round 2. I heard double album but guess we'll see.
Uhh 12 bar blues..... I guess there is no accounting for taste. Hopefully, this album will have some good songs on it. 12 bar blues is .... just not good...

The brand new digital only release of Megapuss' debut album surfing. It came out on iTunes today. Won't be out on vinyl till october 7.
I’ve seen Pearl Jam 25 times, Eddie Vedder 9 times, and Brad once.

12 Bar Blues I just didn't get, tried multiple times to get into it and just couldn't so I agree. I watched the epk and it seems to be a little more rock based which is good for me. I heard it was a double album so knowing Weiland there will be some great stuff and some absolute garbage.
I'm no fan of 12 Bar Blues, but i'll check this one out for sure.

Fucking Weiland... just when I was ready to write the guy off, these two songs remind me why I loved him in the first place. Good, glammy pop-rock. Missing Cleveland is my favourite of the two right now - better hook, methinks.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

You can never write this guy off, people forget how talented he is, which is easily done, since he is a bit of a fuck up. After him wasting the last few years with VR (who he was far too good for) it sounds like he's well back on track.

I dunno... there was always a few tracks on VR albums that were great. On the first, you had Sucker Train Blues, Slither, You Got No Right, Loving the Alien, and maybe Set Me Free. On the second, you had... um... Gravedancer?
Anyway, my point is, the rest of the album could be as hit-and-miss as Weiland's recent live performances.

Oh yeah, they had some good (and a couple of great) songs, but neither album was anywhere even approaching STP's best work.
You could be right about the rest of the album - I'm especially skeptical because it's a double, but these songs are pretty damn good so far.
"The Man I Didn't Know" is going to be on the album as well, and I really liked that song live. I've heard clips of "Big Black Monster" as well, and it all sounds like it's pretty solid stuff. Fingers crossed. I don't think it was VR being terrible that I didn't like, as much as it was knowing that you'd never hear Weiland be his weird-ass, artsy self surrounded by blues-rock musicians. Weiland is better off the weirder he can be.

I loved the second album, not a bad song on it for me. Nothing deep at all, just some great catchy hard rock.
Scott Weiland the melodyman, if he cant sing it no one can. I find it so funny how some people say, Scott was too good for VR. Or some say he wasnt good enough. Bottom line is Contraband, and Libertad were great. Vr put on an amazing live show. Wish they would of stuck together. Now his solo album will be amazing, as all his work is.

I saw STP and CC both this year and I've got to say that both shows rocked!

I'm with you 100%. The general consensus is Contraband is better than Libertad but, I couldn't disagree more. Contraband was garbage to me.
