Common- Be, Faithful, Love Is, Black Maybe, Forever Begins
    Jurassic 5- Freedom
Kanye West- Everything I Am, Roses
Lupe Fiasco- Hurt Me Soul, American Terrorist, Little Weapon (lupe's verses)
Mos Def- Most of his songs
Nas- The Cross, Let There Be Light
The Roots- too many to list
Talib Kweli- I'll just say Good Mourning, one of my favorite songs ever, but like Mos and the Roots, most of what he's done is up there for me

    Eminem- Rock Bottom
    Woefully underrated song.

    My picks:

Tupac - Changes, Keep Ya Head Up, Unconditional Love
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five - The Message
Pete Rock & CL Smooth - They Reminisce Over You (maybe the finest hip-hop song ever)
    Common - I Used To Love H.E.R
Immortal Technique - Dancing With The Devil, Harlem Streets, Industrial Revolution
Mobb Deep - Survival of the fittest (never heard a more grim, gritty description of 'gangsta' life)

and a million others I can't think of right now.

Saul Williams - everything. More like hip-hop/poet though. Some specific awesome titles:
    List of Demands
    Black Stacy
    African Student Movement
    The Ritual
    Niggy Tardust

Awesome talented artist. You owe it to yourself to discover him. (And he does an absolutely kick-ass show too)

What do you consider to be *DEEP*? The subject matter of the lyrics or the rhythm/beats what?

I agree to a point, what did you think of my choices?

Yours are fine but I do not really find Eminem very "deep", Jay Z isnt deep, Doggystyle isnt deep, and even most Tupac isnt deep.
