Recording of DC Shows for DVD

I hope they go with night two instead of night one, but either way, looking back at the last Italian DVD, that took a year to put out, hopefully this one will be much quicker since there should be much less editing if they are just using the show as a whole.
It'd be even nice to get both nights, but I guess well see what surprises 10c has in store for us...

You are U, who you are.
They had signs saying they were filming and that if you didn't consent to not enter the venue. This is a little more than usual. Ed mentions it a few times too.
From the Fanview's thread, it was Brendan Canty (drummer from Fugazi and owner of Trixie DVD Production company) on stage filming in DC. I noticed on night one how the filming was so much like Jem Cohen's style for the Fugazi documentary, Instrument. I think this is different from the usual taping. Brendan's company also filmed Ed for the Seattle Burn to Shine DVD.

Ahh... there was no confirmation of that from anyone I talked to. Good to know.
True, but Ed specifically mentioned it to the crowd and thanked us for being a good crowd (quiet, respectful) for the taping. Why would he mention it, if something isn't to come of it.
If a DVD comes of it, I'll buy it. But if nothing comes of it, it was still an awesome, enjoyable and memorable show.

They were not taping Newark Like they were at DC
I did not see the sign at NJPAC like the ones at Warner that said when you enter, you give your permission to be on film. And at NJ, there were not camera crews down front filming the crowd as well. Or I missed them from the 5th row.
just another symptom added to EVSSAD
all that stuff can be cut out. They are probably gonna merge songs from both shows. Were there any messups on night 2 (like guaranteed on night 1)?
They wouldn't include Ed's banter on a DVD

It was the same for night two.
I hope they would include of all Es talking, that was half the fun. He messed up society and far behind on night two, and his talking during them was pretty funny.
I agree. I enjoyed listening to his stories and everything. and he was pretty funny

oh yeah the stories were awesome and i hope they include those too, but sometimes he just rambled on about politics or called out the assholes in the crowd for being stupid. When you make a DVD I think you should make it less dated. So I think the good stories will stay, but you shouldn't expect the DVD to contain 1/2 talking 1/2 music.
That being said, if he messed up songs both nights and wore the same clothes, I think its safe to say the DVD will be something like " Eddie Vedder Live from Warner Theatre" and contain songs from both.

I have to agree. I also think that's why night 2 setlist varied so much. More material. Although I really would have liked to get "Let My Love Open the Door" on that, but I can't complain about what was played. It was all great!
yeah, pj only played one night, which leads me to believe they are talking about ed, and id rather a PJ dvd than an Ed dvd ANYDAY!
Yeah, I think if anything, it is going to be stuff from both nights. They filmed all of Liam too, so hopefully that will be on there if there is a DVD
