How are you going to handle the tour withdrawl in a month?

Word of a new album always leaves some hope, but we may not see that album until late 09, tour spring of 2010? Thats a long way away, DVD's and boots only last for so long. I hate that I am even thinking about it before the tour has even started, but its always eating away at me.

It's not going to be easy, but I do believe they will release a new album early next year and launch a major tour. If the money situation is good at that time, I plan on going to many shows.

I'm seriously not trying to be nasty, but if you're already thinking about this, you need to take a step back.

There has to be more going on with you than what Pearl Jam is doing for the next three years.

For heavens sake, just enjoy the shows.

There's always a bit of a letdown after each tour, but it's brief. I have too much going on to dwell on it, and before I know it there's always another tour announcement, or a new album, etc etc.

Each tour the letdown is smaller. I don't think there will be a letdown. I'm seeing 5 shows this tour, but I think after the second show I'd be good and wouldn't care if I went to more shows.

Same as Bathgate and Hobbes, other shows. I'll be looking toward Lollapalooza and Nine Inch Nails, and then see NIN in Toronto, and Philly, and Warped, and who knows what else.

i was really looking up to a new album early 09 with a big ol' world tour following not long after. but this one little thing is kinda worrying me.

someone wrote on the given to fly section that they met stone at the vh1 who rock honors thing, and asked him about more touring. stone said that next year he wants the band to do some dates in europe. NO mention of an album or world/us tour! just he wants the band to hit some spots in europe. uh oh ..

the good thing is... Stone mentioned FINLAND - I'm happy with that :D They haven't been here since 93. Of course, when they do come to northern Europe, I'll travel around following them ;) Not sure about Russia though, the country gives me the creeps for some weird reason.

Me too. What I do is just open one boot at a time and space them out. The 2003 boots lasted me for 2-3 years that way. :) Also, I found after listening to boots for so long, listening to the studio albums was very refreshing. It was almost like they were new again as they are so different. :)
