AC/DC Still Kickin Ass....

I went to see AC/DC last nite at MSG, NY... Holy shit... the old men dont rock like old men... they come on stage, kick your ass for 90 minutes and send you home with the ringing of Hells Bells in your ears... It was probably one of the loudest shows i have seen in my recent memory... The stage show was very cool, from the Rock n Roll train, to Hells Bell, to the cannons firing the 21 gun salute...
If you have tickets to see them, you will have a blast... if you dont, GET SOME!! If you have never seen them play live, I STRONGLY recommend it... you will not be dissapointed!!

Only 90 minutes though? That's kind of a pisser. I'm still excited but 90 minutes seems short.
I guess I will have to wear earplugs. Note to self.
"Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come...."
Check the day of the show and see if they release some tickets. Highly unlikely, I know. But a friend of mine got 5th row Metallica tickets by doing that.
I cannot wait!!!
Are you kiddding me 90 mins for the ticket prices they were charging. It better be 2 hours tomorrow when I see them in DC for the $92.50 per ticket. The last time I saw AC/DC I paid $18.50 10 years ago.
This is for my 12 year old daughter and her "significant friend" I must remember the ear plugs Christmas is coming early for her. Luckly my boss is paying for the tickets.
Peace

Wednesday in NJ.
Taking my 8 and 6 year old!! We have been listening to AC/DC channel on Sirius and everyone is pumped up!!!!
GET YOURSELF SOME EAR PLUGS and protect those little ears! My 12 year old daughter survived tonight and I wore ear plugs the first time EVER in 3-4 hundred concerts I've seen.
Preferably the wax kind from CVS.

anybody sharing pics anywhere?

I have pictures and video I just hope I have some time to post them. On video the spectacle of the lighting really comes through. The sound over was just too loud to hear clearly. I'll be in Palm Beach, Florida for 6 months starting December 11th and I'm now considering to go to their Dec 20th show in Fort Lauderdale.
That's if my partner wants to go.

Brian and I did great until after the concert. We should've just waited in the van in the parking garage for it to clear out. The street we wanted was a three way stop, Brian got nervous or didn't know who went first so we missed out street. And you know how big cities are, you miss one turn and it's very hard. We did get our room eventually. We stayed in Arlington. It reminded me of my aunt Claudia.
We ate at RFD same place the pearl jam preshow was at. H and 7th street.......must remember that. lol. They started playing AC/DC songs the later it got. Very fun! They had a table reserved for disabled guest, or we would have never eaten there. Long wait. I tried a beer off their long list of beers. It was yummy!
Our seats were better than Pearl Jam in 2006. During pj were at 141. AC/DC was at 121. I bought a tie-dye Black Ice shirt. I’m a sucker for tie-dye. We were chatting with and older couple in the shirt line. Their names were Christie and Steve. Our best friends are named that too! AC/DC had so many stage props, it was great! Real fun to watch. Angus acted like he was going to moon us but he had AC/DC boxers on. Brian wanted them to play The Jack, and I didn't think they would, but they did. Angus knows how to play up the audience. Ha! He ran everywhere. Amazing he could do that. On the other hand, Brian looked like he was gonna pass out after the second song. Ha! Sweating bullets. People were wearing plastic red light up devil horns that looked cool when the lights were out. Silly me forgot to change battery in my camera but I saved some pics I found on the net.
It was the loudest show I’ve been to. They warned on the pj chat board. Glad I brought my earplugs. Seeing AC/DC live was one of the thing’s I wanted to do before I died. We did it! And it was not a let down at all.

Those are some bad ass pics my friend! I got shafted on AC/DC for Houston (The hurricane delayed the onsale date, and I never got my Toyota center tix alert). So, I hope the box office releases some extras about 15- 20 minutes before AC/DC hits the stage. They did that for Metallica last week (another bad ass show!).
So I won't know if I can get in until Dec 14rth. I hope so, cause the scalpers are going to want $ 360 for a pair. I refuse to do that, so hopefully the box office comes through for us.
Glad you had a great time. Take care!
Your friend from Houston,
Kyle

gezz that's a raw deal. i'm sorry.
i thought for sure i wouldn't get my hands on DC tickets. but i did. hang in there, i'm pulling for you.
I know cause we ended missing the openers for Metallica, but at least we didn't have to surrender to the outragous scalper prices.
Thanks for pulling for us. This is a show my Dad and I really want to see.

The show was fucking top shelf, loud and hard!!!! I am so glad that I got to see them last night. Brian Johnson sounded terrific!!! And Angus was his badass guitar shredding self!!! The older Angus gets, the scary of a face he can make and he hasn't lost a step!! He is still classic Angus. The stage was killer with that train crashing through the back drop. And when they inflated Rosie, she was riding the train!! Fucking cool as hell!!! Not to mention the religious protesters outside the venue - that was even cool. Fun to make fun of them.
Thanks I wanted to know if they would've changed the set from 11/17 show in DC. I might surprise my lady and take her to the Fort Lauderdale, Florida show 12/20 a Saturday night.
Peace

I assumed just protesting everything they think AC/DC stands for...however misguided they are. It was funny, they were holding big signs; on one side it side "Fear God" and the other side said "Trust Jesus." I found that to be quite a conflicting message. It's like they are playing good cop/bad cop with the God/Jesus thing. Having a good buzz going on walking into the venue, we laughed and pointed at them as we funneled in.
All the lit up red devil horns a lot of people were wearing looked awesome throughout the crowd!!!
Yeah, had a great time last night - a complete success all the way around! AC/DC delivered!!!!!
I've been to hundreds of concerts and never wore earplugs before but I did for this one mainly due to my daughter. The only other concert I can think of that was loud was Def Leppard's Hysteria World Tour. Mainly due to being 5 feet from the speakers with the sound going directly into my ears, I had to give up my front row seats.
Yes that was awesome when it got dark and all those devil horns lit up. In fact if my lady wants to go those would fit perfect on her red hair. They must have sold about 3-5 thousand of them in DC.
I have to admit too they certainly delivered too, it would've been nice to hear High Voltage in the encore.

I didn't wear earplugs either, but then again, I was already deaf from seeing Helle's Belle's at Hell's Kitchen.
I wasn't sure but I've confirmation from my daughter it was The Jack.
