The prices for Nico are out of control. I managed to find a used 'Soup' reissue while I was at a conference in San Diego back in 19' for $15.

the band can't even get their newest record on spotify (or, if they have now, it took years), so any hopes of them getting more vinyl in the market aren't likely either.

I would agree with that. I love the new stuff they've put out, but not a fan of the single here, single there format. Call me old school, but I love full albums!

i go back and forth. I really dug when Billy Corgan did it with the teargarden project. It was like a sustained excitement for new tidbits of music every 6 weeks, which I really liked (with the option to buy physical product at the end). But with BM, there's no real set schedule. I wish they'd commit to something like that.

I remember seeing Blind Melon when I was young. Where did all the time go. Now I feel old.

I saw them at the Reading Festival on August  27th, 1995, less than 2 months before he died. It’s still the best festival line up my 18 year old self could have wished for, and Blind Melon early on a sunny Sunday afternoon was a big part of that.

if there ever was a band that could be perfect late on a Saturday night and also a Sunday afternoon, it's Blind Melon

Pissed at myself for never giving them a shot after hearing No Rain on the radio. A catchy tune no doubt but I didn’t want to hear anything more like that. Wish someone had told me then that No Rain was not like the rest of their shit. Just started getting into them a few years ago after hearing some deep cuts in my barbershop.

Saw them once. A few 'whippets' kept me company. Needless to say I only really remember him with no shoes on and enjoying myself. Not quite fitting in with the music I embraced back then. Anyway it wassss a good night out with some friends. Didn't really know how great things were until they slowly go away. Or maybe better said. Change into some other type of awesomeness that will also go away someday.
Just trying to cheer you all up!! :/

    Love you all

I was the same. Missed them playing here early on with Shannon. Went to a show in 2008 with the new singer.

FR, while it's a good song that I've always liked, No Rain is literally the worst song on that entire album. Lucky for me, I bought the cassette right away, so knew how awesome they were.

That is wild. Holy crap, the cheapest used one on discogs right now is $140CAD, lol. Well that was a solid purchase for me when it was released. That wasn't that small a run 7 years ago, I wonder why it's so pricey??
