My only problem with the Ed solo tour is...

I wont be attending any shows because none are close enough, but really, I am just bummed that this means Pearl Jam's new album probably wont be finished for awhile. I would assume that after touring together and spending the last month together, the will take July off, and than Ed heads out for August, and he probably wont want to come right back and go into the studio, so they might not even return to the album making until October.

I just wants me some new PJ!

    But Ed touring in August would give the band members plenty of time to write their own material.

    yep Vedder nees to be a around for the writing phase, hes put together some great stuff lately and appears very much on form....

    Maybe the solo tour inspires him... and he gets time on his own away from the band? Perhaps he only intended on doing the west coast, got loadsa inspiration, and then froze when he was finished... so he's doing the east coast so he can finish the writing :)
