I made calls to about 10 record stores in Detroit, Ferndale, and even Dearborn just now to see if I could help some fans out here.

Only one store had sold ITW vinyls...

THREE copies, that's it! I asked how much he sold them for and he said for 21.99 dollars.

All gone on the very same day.

I also thanked him for his honesty on selling the prices and he was shocked when I told him that some people were flipping them on eBay for 100+ bucks. He was very surprised to hear that.

I'm so sorry that I couldn't be of any help. :(

I called the local record shop on Michigan State Universities campus the week before it went on sale and they hadnt heard anything about it and took my name and number and said they would make some calls to their distributors and let me know later that day if they could find one for me. No call so I assumed they didnt find any. I called back today out of curiousity and they said they have 1 copy and they are having a silent auction for it. I think its Rediculous but I guess you may get it for less then ebay so if anyone is interested:

picked it up from the post office today, some details:

the booklet is mostly the same photos than in the CD..but the words are in Ed's handwriting instead of typed, looks gorgeous :D

plus forewords from Sean Penn that solves the question about who chose to cover Hard Sun (was Penn)
and an extra picture on the last page with amended credits and instruments list

I haven't seen any photos/scans, so here it goes:

Because you couldn't find a public domain picture of the actual LP to use, and your LP hasn't arrived yet for you to take a photo of it so you had to use a picture of the CD cover to advertise your ebay auction?

    Too cynical?

I ordered mine on the 21st and it shipped on the 23rd. But I picked the shipping that can take up to 14 days I think it said. Plus I'm in NY and I'm pretty sure its shipping from CA. So hopefully middle of next week.

Just got mine from AE in Minnesota yesterday. So, for the people in New York, your copy is about halfway there (from California).

Just for giggles, what are some of the numbers people are getting on the Helen Stellar single that is included? Mine is 020/300.

Is anyone else gettting the "review order" status from AE order tracking?

I've emailed them with no response, and my order says "not sent". Just wondering if anyone else is having the same probs

I received a parcel pickup notice on Thursday, picked it up today and it was the Into the Wild Vinyl! From Aural Exploits.

Mine has a slight tare on the very top (top of the back half of the gatefold), so I suppose I'll never be tempted to sell it, even if someday i lose my job and all money :)

(I'd never flip my PJ stuff, its always in the back of my mind, i knew that if a castorphe ever happened I have some pj stuff i've collection that is worth some money, but i've been pretty broke at times, but never so far down that I'd to sell any of it :) )

I'm glad I got a copy.. Now I have this urge to track down copies of the singles soundtrack and totd on vinyl :)

Was the Singles soundtrack on Vinyl??
  • while this is only coming from the owner of an indie record store, the owner was in contact with "the distributor" (whoever that is. AE? the record label?) and claims definitely less than 2500 were produced.

doubt this will ever see Benaroya $$$$$ though.
