i'm not sure i understand the question...but he would have been on my list several years ago...i actually started to follow his music after that scene in malcolm x, where malcolm (denzel washington) is sort of floating down the sidewalk toward the audubon ballroom, and sam is singing "a change gonna come" in the background.

can i ask why you would say 2 months ago? was there something recently released, like a greatest hits or something that i missed?

a sarah slean fan! she's awesome. i had a chance to hang out with her for a bit a few years ago when she played the club i was working at. she's a lot of fun, and incredibly talented...some may say eccentric, but i thought she was very easy to get on with. good pick.
