  • it's Led Zeppelin for me.
  • Sabbath anyday. Led Zeppelin are possibly the most overrated band in history. Just my opinion of course.

  • Tough choice, like both about evenly, might have to go with Zeppelin though. And yeah, they are pretty much the most over rated rock band,
  • Gotta go with Zep!
  • zeppelin overrated... if anybody is WAY overrated it's black sabbath.

Zep being overrated is like James Blunt being a punk rocker. Yeah, doesnt happen.

    Zeppelin hands down
I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

Zep cos they were more diverse.....Ozzie always sounds like Ozzie but Plant could vary his singing style to fit the mood of the music....not by a lot, but enough...

This should not be a question! Both of these amazing bands influenced pretty much every band that we listen too.

i hate pitting them against eachother too, but Zeppelin is just so far the better band of the two i had to choose.

All that aside, the two were radically different from eachother, so does it really matter?

I maintain that a question like this is tantamount to choosing one of your children over another. I just don't think it's right to pick one over the other.
  • Both are amazing bands with a history and made some of the best noise EVER.
They are not comparable cuz one is a lot more technical and accomplished than the other....
But if my life depended on it then I'd say Zepp.

    Sabbath
  • I know people who dislike heavy rock in general but can still enjoy Zep, such is the band's ability to cross over genres and demographics on the force of the music's sheer quality. So, on the strength of their universal influence, it's Zep all the way, for me.

    Zep was more talented.

    both were very influential.

I like Sabbath better, but that is just personal taste.

Zeppelin - even though both are legends, you cant compare.

Sabbath too 1 dimensional,so has to be Zep.Although I feel both were/are massive/legendary,at the same time both were/are pure performers in a somewhat self indulgent way.I mean lyrically and being able to relate to them in a meaningful way, beyond the power and frying of fretboards, there is not a lot there, all mystical and satanic theatre, which is probably why some folk think they are overrated.I prefer my music/bands to be more genuine/real and from the heart.(Pearl Jam,Bob Dylan,Neil Young,John Martyn.Gil Scott-Heron etc).

    Zeppelin by a comfortable margin
