    David Gilmour's Live at the Royal Albert Hall is the best live dvd set I have ever seen. His live cd that came out this past Tuesday is not too shabby either :)

    my kneejerk reaction is husker du's the living end.

    one of direwolf's suggestions is probably better, though. tom waits' nighthawks at the diner. i just never think of it as a live album because he never released studio versions of those songs.

    the band's the last waltz doesn't suck either.
