"Ten sounding" Pearl Jam there's a shitload of them, just turn into any modern rock station and you'll be satisfied, but if you're looking for "No Code - Riot Act" era sounding then that would be hard to find

Thanks for the advice guys! Many are asking what im actually looking for ?

.Anything from the early 90s Grunge / Rock That's related to the

Ten + Vs. Era of Pearl Jam
  • i've always felt sparta is pretty similar. they play hard rock and jim's voice has that same straining, scream to it. but i don't know if you want a lot of guitar solos though.

    Good call on The Hip,

They're almost like the PJ of Canada :p:p

That reminds me of a great quote from Gord Downie when a reporter in the States asked him what it feels like to be the Pearl Jam of Canada:

"I thought Pearl Jam was the Pearl Jam of Canada. Does that make them the Tragically Hip of the United States?"
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

Only Gordie would come up with that

Screaming Trees is a good one too. I also consider Shinedown or Mercy Fall to have the same sort of music with blistering guitar solos and very strong vocalists.

Blind Melon is nothing like Pearl Jam (musically) , although they are totally totally awesome. I would agree that if you like Pearl Jam you will like Blind Melon.
    that's generally true.

    Blind Melon were incredible.

a lot of Pj fans like Radiohead too (although more Radiohead fans like pearl jam..)

Neil Young and Crazy Horse seem to be closest and they aren't even that similar..

Moe is an excellent band with some pearl jam in them..

if you don't like Chris Cornell though, i dont know why i'm giving you the time of day
