    Police last Sunday
took my kids to their first concert-Dan Zanes-it was a fun show.
We are probably going to see Rev Horton Heat in Nov.

I am considering going to the Police again in Nov when they play the Boston Garden.

Hopefully PJ plays somewhere inbetween but I know it's a pipe dream!
    Let's Go Red Sox!

    for me its a tie...

    Wilco at Merryweather Post
Elvis Costello at the 930 Club

Both incredible (but neither as insane as my night at the Vic)
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
    ride" ! Unknown

  • First, and only, for the summer (and ironically on the coldest night we've had since May, I think). Just caught Muse at Festival Pier, with Cold War Kids as the opener. Very solid show! Both bands were tight. Good sound. Muse only played for about 1.5 hrs, but you know, we're spoiled :) I was also told they played the same exact set at MSG this past Monday, but again...spoiled.
    *Rock and/or Roll!*
  • It's been a rockin' summer, even if I couldn't get to Lolla.

Saw Pete Yorn at the Stone Pony, what a treat that was. His opening acts, 16 Frames and Ben Jelen were good as well.

Squeeze a week ago. Incredible. When you have the kind of talent they do, it doesn't matter how many years have gone by.

The Police almost a week ago. It's incredible how three guys can fill a stadium with perfectly juxtaposed sound.

Got Tori Amos and Ben Harper coming up. For not getting to see PJ, it's a pretty good concert haul.

The Tragically Hip at Marymoor Park in Seattle, July 11th. An absolutely killer performance at a beautiful outdoor venue under a clear star-lit sky. It doesn't get much better than that.
"I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. With my voice I can sound like a girl, the boogieman, a Theremin, a cherry bomb, a clown, a doctor, a murderer. I can be tribal. Ironic. Or disturbed. My voice is really my instrument."

As much of a legend as he is, I'd be reluctant to see Dylan in concert. I'm not very familiar with his material beyond "the hits," and he seems to be.... uh.... past his prime. The only reason I'd go is to tell my kids someday that, "yeah, I saw Dylan back in the day."

    Dylan is awesome Live
He was on my "see him before he kicks the bucket" list and I wasn't sorry I did
