Van Halen irony

Anyone else find it ironic that the same two members who accepted the R&R Hall of Fame award exactly 5 months ago are also the only two members not on the tour just announced?

...comical I must admit. :)

The Opie & Anthony show on XM is making casual bets on - not only when the tour breaks up - but on supporting events, like when Ed Van Halen starts to drink again, etc.

If Sammy and Dave can manage to survive and pull off an entire tour together, then I think the Van Halen bros and Dave can suck it up and get it done for the boat load of money they are likely to get...

:p:p:p:p man, you're on a roll with this Van Halen stuff.

Is it ironic that one can not find a picture of either member that accepted the HOF on the official Van Halen web site???

Gary had a great voice, too bad he was a "SINGER" and not a "ROCKSTAR" like Sammy or Dave... I think that was the biggest difference (and i even saw Van Halen w/ Gary at the front... Why? LOL)

...he doesn't but as he sings one of "his" Van Halen songs - he pulls out hair from his arm, one at a time.

did that tour self combust half way through because they hated each other?

If you really, really, really want to see Van Halen... you might want to go to the shows early on the tour. Chances are, if you're on the tail end of the tour... you may see cancellations... and you won't get some of your Ticketmaster fees refunded.

I don't know... remember that Guns 'N Roses reunion a few years ago? Depending on how Eddie and Dave feel, I can see it resulting with the same results.

There wasn't a Guns N' Roses reunion a couple of years ago. Axl reunited enough of himself to go on tour using the GnR name without any original members. Axl Rose makes Eddie Van Halen look normal.
  • sammy's not going on the tour is he? one major fuck up eddies making is not having michael anthony which means this is still not the original van halen reunited...way too late to be worth anything anyway..dave doesn't have the same vocal range, and acts like a certified looney anytime he's in public. eddie alex and wolfie should just tour by themselves with no singer and jam for 2 hours

If Gene $immons and Paul Stanley could put up with Ace Frehley & Peter Criss for a few years from 96 to 00, then Van Halen should be able to tour. But then again they haven't been able to.
