Really, no surprises here, it's what you would expect.

That wouldn't be the top 10 of college students in the UK .. guaranteed! :D
Jack Johnson?? Incubus? Fall Out Boy??? and DMB definitely wouldn't be #1.
Led Zep, The Beatles and Green day might be there.

I'm guessing Foo Fighters would rate better, and there'd be more british bands too .. The Who, Arctic Monkeys, Libertines.

can you search for specific schools' lists or only your own? id liek to compare the lists of my top two law school choices ;)
  • Ya know. For some reason I can handle Fallout Boy. I mean they are a pop band, but thats all they are tryin to be. They arent trying to bring world peace, or act all dark, or serious all the time. They let their personality come through with the music. Thats not generally what I am in the mood for, but there are times when in fits into my listenin.

    Kind of.....

Because I liked him way back before anyone had ever heard of him, now all these "teenie boppin' disco queens" (Rodeo Clowns) and tool shed guys like him!!!

I liked him for the music, now people like him just because it's the thing to do.

Kind of silly i guess, but i know many of you feel the same way about an artist you love!!!

It pisses me off that's all

From the people that I've come across that listen to OAR, DMB, Jack Johnson and so forth are your typical suburban stoners who listen to the popular jam bands because that's what everyone else listens to. If you ever go to a OAR or dave matthews show, all you'll see is abercrombie, suv's and 19 year olds who think that smoking weed makes them cool.

so far i have to admit, most bands that came out in the 90"s and 2000 are not that good. Pearl Jam is one of the good ones and so is sound garden but Rage. come on people they only had a decent cd and i know because i have all of them. but why on no ones list is one of the best british bands of all time not there. that's right Oasis. you have to give them credit, they are like Pearl Jam. not the music but careers. both Oasis and Pearl Jam's first 2 cd's were major hits and then they became less popular with the majority but have a cult following. let's get soem more votes for Oasis.

and by the way, the way the new Oasis cd is great just liek the new Pearl Jam CD will be great.

theres a big difference between pj and oasis, pearl jam have evolved musically over every album, pj became less popular because there music became less mainstream accesibale(sp).
oasis have released the same songs reworked and with new lyrics on every album, oasis lost some popularity because the third record be here now was a steaming great pile of dog turd.

i agree that be here now was not the best cd but if you look at the review that Pearl Jam get and teh reviews that Oasis get they are very similar. Oasis has moved around also musically (if you listen to the last two cd's) the main reason that Pearl Jam and Oasis are less popular now is due to the fact that radio and media cater to the youth. Oasis is still very popular in concert just like Pearl Jam. Oasis still has a very loyal fan base just like Pearl Jam. and i don't think you can say that they would if all their songs are the same cause if they were who would pay to see a band play the same song over and over again.

fair enough there not exactly the same songs over and over, but i find them very bland and similar and thats just my opinion.
what would be a better way of putting it repetative, while i dont mind noel, liams personality just annoys me i think if they had a different singer with a better attitude and voice i would appreciate them more, but hey each to there own.
