Which is a problem when no one else wants to go to a gig. :o
the advantage is that MMJ is then playing in small venues. i'll see them in 3 or 4 weeks in a small venue in Brussels: only something like 2,000
    2006: Antwerp, Paris
    2007: Copenhagen, Werchter
    2009: Rotterdam, London
    2010: MSG, Arras, Werchter
    2012: Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin
    2014: Amsterdam, Stockholm

Odd that... I'm going with three other people....

    :p
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

What's everyone's favorite track off Evil Urges?

I can't stop listening to Librarian since hearing it live the other night... The whole album is great though.

MMJ will be on Austin City Limits Nov 1!!! Saw them proper in Louisville this summer. That show is easily in my top 3 ever.

What's everyone's favorite track off Evil Urges? I can't get enough of "Smokin From Shootin"!

wow--tough one. for me, it's a toss up between "highly suspicious" or "aluminum park".
    I LOVE MUSIC.

Did you have floor tickets? Where were you at? I was right in front of Jim making a fool of myself.

  • Saw them again in Detroit the other night. Incredible show, great atmosphere. The band is just so talented. Long Extended jams, but so under control at the same time. These guys are pros and Jim writes fantastic songs.

I just found out that they are opening for Neil in Australia for a few shows this year! I love seeing my favourite Pearl Jam artists get together on their own.

Getting to see MMJ kinda makes the PJ withdrawal a bit more bearable!

Someone, i want to think 'restless soul' took this picture, and I've been using it as my background.

My morning jacket is good, but I have to be honest, when the singer makes the wierd sounds and yells like he has terrets, totally destroys the band. I don't remember what show it was, maybe Grand Rapids. No.... wait it was the Imagine in Chronicles DVD, Ed's body language says it all, enough is enough with your terrets syndrome. My morning Jacket is sub par. Bring on the bandwagon junkies.

... but also means you and your friends buy tickets to The Black Keys ... and then find out MMJ are supporting.

So, which is it? Nice contradiction, jackass.
  • Any update on Jim? Is he dead or what?

Some reports (Tom's wife) say he's resting up in hospital, some say he was released the same night.

Either way, he's not dead... just has an injured leg.

    Chicago show's postponed :(

Are you actually listening to the same band as the rest of us?

    "terrets"?

    It's spelt Tourettes ffs.

JJ actually has quite a range to his voice and I, for one, am glad to hear something different where an artist is willing to push the boundries. Plus, do you really think that if Ed thought Jim James' "terrets" was OTT that he, or the rest of the band for that matter, would have had them supporting?

    Get a grip.

As darthvedder said... "nice contradiction, jackass"

I saw that they're playing together on the MMJ tour schedule and got jealous. That show will be killer.
  • My morning jacket is the best band at the moment. They beat pearl jam for me. My favourite album is defenitely Z (wordless chorus, gideon, into the woods, lay low!!!) but I love all their work.
Seriously, my morning jacket is the only band in the entire world that has not one bad song (imo).

Oh damn.. Can't wait until 2-11!: An Evening With My Morning Jacket in Amsterdam!
I don't want to be the fool that's behind me but I am...

No doubt - but I get to see Seasick Steve too. :p I'm not sure if that's a good thing yet...
