Wilco- Kicking Television (by far one of the best live albums ever recorded)
Midnight Oil- Scream in Blue
Nirvana- Unplugged in NY
Pearl Jam- Live on Two Legs
Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band- Hammersmith Odeon, London '75
The Tragically Hip- Live Between Us (the perfect road trip album)
Ben Harper- Live From Mars
Damn right. Hendrix has lots of great live albums. I also highly recommend Live at Fillmore East - which is the rest of the 2 shows from Which Band of Gypsys was taken
It's edited to hell, though. I wish Kramer had left it alone. Audio glitches me arse! The box set demonstrates that many of the highlights from all four shows at the Fillmore are still to be officially released. There's still one BoG Machine Gun of four, in the can. It's from the first show on December 31st 1969. It's pretty spirited, though Buddy gets a bit carried away with his doobie-doobie-doo scat; but it's certainly better than the second version, which made Live at the Fillmore East along with an edit of the fourth version (January 1st 1970, second show).
Ah, found a link to an audience recording, featured in the box set:
Pantera-Official Live: 101 Proof
awesome live record!
The Who-Live at Leeds
Ministry-In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up (live)
Springsteen-Live 75-85
Springsteen-The Saint, The Innocent and The Main Point Shuffle (bootleg) from Bryn Mawr 2/5/75. easy to find. very awesome.. cool solo piano "Incident", first live performance of "Thunder Road" then called "Wings For Wheels".
The Who : Live at Leeds
Johnny Cash : At Folsom Prison
Bob Dylan : Royal Albert Hall 1966
The Band : Last Waltz
Derek and The Dominos : Live at The Fillmore
Velvet Underground : Max's Kansas City
BB King : Live at the Regal
Great album! Awwwwww New Yoke, you taulk a lot, let's have a look at yeh.
Derek and the Dominos - Live at the Fillmore! Virgil Caine, I never knew anyone else had that one! Some great Clapton solos in that one!
Live at the Fillmore - Allman Brothers, like Hendrix 78 said. Go Duane and Dickey!
Stop Making Sense - Talking Heads
Kicking Television - Wilco
Bongo Fury - Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart and the Mothers of Invention
Frank Zappa Guitar - 2 CD set of just guitars solos, and they're brilliant
There'll be more when I can remember them!
Be kind, man
Don't be mankind. ~Captain Beefheart

thats about all i can add to what's already been said.
the drive by truckers should make a live album they are great live.
Yep. Neil Young Live at Massey Hall '71 is excellent too.
The Truckers have an out of print live album (Alabama Ass Whuppin'), and a excellent live DVD - Live at the 40 Watt. There's a few songs from the DVD on iTunes.
You can download Alabama Ass Whuppin' here, if anything, its worth it for 18 Wheels of Love:
Other good live discs:
Dylan - Live '75 - Rolling Thunder Revue
Grateful Dead - Go To Nassau, Hundred Year Hall, Live/Dead
Social Distortion - Live at the Roxy
Lucinda Williams - Live at the Fillmore
"You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.

Phish- A Live One
Allman Brothers Band- Live at the Fillmore East

"I get into a state of consciousness that I can't explain. It is about feeling and not thinking. I get positive chills and insight into things that I can't get to any other way. It is Healing of the Soul." - Mike McCready
my favorites live albums (after PJ ones) are:
Okonokos - My morning jacket
Kicking television - Wilco
7 wolrds collide - Neil Finn & Friends
Those 3 are awesome and are very well recorded.
2006: Antwerp, Paris
2007: Copenhagen, Werchter
2009: Rotterdam, London
2010: MSG, Arras, Werchter
2012: Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin
2014: Amsterdam, Stockholm
I saw this thread and was about to post the Springsteen Live in Dublin CD but it looks like you already got that covered.
Although not an album, theres a professinal recorded live set of Chris Cornell in Sweeden. It's all acoustic and is what his new album should have been.
Lots of good stuff already mentioned, but I don't think I saw these listed:
If you like Bruce, check out his Live in NY from the 2000 tour and his 10 shows at MSG. He also has so many bootlegs to check out
Bob Dylan live at Budakon - my first live Dylan CD, good versions of some rare songs. Rolling Thunder Revue is also a good live Dylan release.
George Harrison Live in Japan - I think Clapton was playing guitar at this show...cool live versions of some of George's Beatle and solo songs
Eric Clapton Rainbow Concert - Clapton paying with Ronnie Wood, Steve Winwood and others. I believe this concert was put together to get Clapton out of his drug induced seclusion on the 70s. Awesome version of Little Wing.
Paul McCartney - put out a live album from a recent tour - good live vesions of Beatle and solo stuff
Billy Joel - Russian live album from 80s. Red cover, Russian name. I got it for the live version of Angry Young Man, but has lots of other good stuff as well.
CSNY - 4 Way Street
Led Zeppelin - BBC Sessions, esp. if you like the 18 minute version of Dazed and Confused.
