They're playing Centennial Olympic Park as part of some Southern Comfort music-fest. I remember the same fest a few years back with The Flaming Lips and Wolfmother. I think it's May 17th, if I'm not mistaken, a Sunday in mid-may for sure.
i looked, it doesn't say anything about QOTSA being there
Just got back and it freakin rocked! First moshing experience and I was front row centre for most of the night, for a tall skinny guy it was a helluva accomplishment! At the song Burn the Witch I ended up getting security to toss me over the railing haha. QOTSA was surprisingly silent though between songs, I always thought they'd be more into the chatting with the crowd. Killer show though.
Seen them once in Newcastle, UK. Absoutely amazing.
Was that this year? If so I was there too - on the barrier in front of Troy. He was out of it by the end of the night after all of those vodka shots! They still kept it amazingly tight for how much they were drinking!
That was my 4th time seeing them - must admit though, I miss Nick (first time I'd seen them without him)!!!
Best time ever was Manchester Apollo before Nick left/got kicked out.
bassist hit in head with shoe
josh hit in hand with shoe
mic blew - no lyrics for half song
next song mic fell down - again no lyrics for half song
josh forgot the words to last verse of burn the witch and improv'd with gibberish
josh was drunk and barely spoke to the crowd at all
worst of the 3 QOTSA shows ive seen. granted it was the first night of the tour, they needed to work the kinks out.,
this bass players rocks the eff out up there though.
