lol and hopefully some other "known" bands....i hope i dont regret paying $165 to see pj in a field with 60,000 people. please be another big band that i know and love....some NIN, tool, radiohead, incubus....pj and one of those bands would be worth it. come on gimme something!

maybe you should hop on board the "it's a new decade and grunge is dead" train ;) it wouldnt kill you to hear some new music, you will still get your money's worth. lolla was always about exposure for more up and coming acts, rather than being the all star game like bonnaroo or the woodstocks. but the lineup comes out tomorrow, so the debate can end!

yeah yeah yeah....when this generations new music lives up to my generations good music...then ill have something new to listen too. but very few of these "indie" bands make it....and theres usually a reason for that. however that being said...i just saw a band the other night....and they blew me away! and thats hard to do...REALLY hard to do considering i had never heard them before. Their name is Autovein. they are from st louis...and they rock so hard...and hes got an amazing voice.

but i have very high standards for the music that ill listen to on any regular basis. they have to have talent, have a great singer, make me FEEL the music...and the music needs to MOVE me...pull me in with great riffs and transitions and bridges...have good lyrics and a voice that isnt afraid to show some emotion (other than the whiney emo shit...or whatever that crap is called). they have to be able to perform a great LIVE show. their albums need to FLOW....they need to have lasting potential. when i listen to their show or album for the first time...they need to make me wanna go home and listen to them again....if they cant do that....ehhh they dont have what it takes for me.

and i know what lolla's been about...ive been to a few back in the day...and most of the bands i had heard of before seening them. oh and the big difference was that tickets were like 40 bucks and not 165. oh well...hopefully ill be pleased with the selections and enjoy some new bands when im there.

I cant wait until the bands are confirmed so the speculation ends.

Does anyone know when they announce? Is it a late in the day announcement?

So many great bands have been rumored but Lolla is for the up and coming bands. That is what Pearl Jam was in 92 and how I was introduced to them.

Could the next great band be mixed in somewhere this year?

Looks like some (or all) of it leaked...

Hopefully that's not all. Luckily I got the $60 ticket. Keeping my fingers crossed they add at least one more big name headliner. This isn't as "mind blowing" as the Lolla site led me to believe. I probably wouldn't spend $195 a ticket for this.

Pearl Jam, Muse, Iggy & The Stooges, Modest Mouse, Interpol, My Morning Jacket, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Snow Patrol, Spoon, TV On The Radio, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Yo La Tengo, Hold Steady, Blonde Redhead, Sparklehorse, Son Volt, Peter Bjorn & John, Tapes N Tapes, Tokyo Police Club, Cold War Kids, Annuals, Sam Roberts

.....not too shabby - thought there might be a couple more standouts on the line-up (ie. the Decemberists, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, the Shins, Wilco, Feist, Stars)

.....if this is the line-up, who would be headlining the non-Pearl Jam nights????

Yeah, I thought for sure they'd get some more standouts like the ones you mentioned. It's not a bad lineup, but it's not my "dream lineup" by any means.

Keep in mind though, there's only about 80 bands listed so far...so about 50 more will be added by August.

Hell if thats the lineup... I may not go. Not really that stellar. I was hoping to see Wu Tang or Nine Inch Nails to add some diversity, but seeing the Stooges on it is kinda cool.

it was a one day festival then. 40x3= 120. only a $45 raise. that probly barely outpaces inflation. there will be plenty of great bands there.

the link above you is gone... wonder if that means they shut it down? anyway, that lineup looks pretty great to me. plenty of bands id love to see there. i dont mind if decemberists and bloc party arent there, cos i just saw them on my own this summer for full sets ;) as to the rest, shins, wilco, feist and stars all played last year. your odds of those aren't good. im hoping arcade fire will headline one night... i've heard that rumor. other than that, id have to guess closers would be iggy, modest mouse, or snow patrol from that list. but we'll see. im stoked!

they finally booked some bands that haven't already played the area a buncha times in the past year!...and, they got a bit more adventurous.

Of Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lolla, lolla is usually the least adventurous.
