After tons of Cantrell rocks, Nickleback sucks comments the comments have been disabled - lol.

I actually like Kroger's voice combining with Cantrell's here. May be because he not singing his usual brainless Nickleback shit.

I don't think Nickelback were ever cool.....

And that Rockstar song....it IS ironic isn't it? Just because you know, they never strike me as particularly self deprecating.....

ya know, everbody at work seems to love that song. But then they all like Kid Rock's All Summer Long, which might as well be titled "I'll say things you like and rip off previous hits if you'll buy my album" People are such mindless sheep sometimes.

Yeah, Kid Rock is another one I don't get.....I mean, to me, he's just funny, a cartoon chatacter....

But then again I live in a sleepy English town, so maybe I'm not supposed to get it.....

It helps if you live in the American South, are a mouth-breather, drink Coors Light and frequently use the word "nigger". Those people love Kid Rock, and they don't really question or think about anything :p

Kid Rock isn't on my list of favorites, but the thing I do like about him is that he pays respect to the various genres that have inspired him. He likes Grand Funk, Run DMC, Hank Jr., MC5, J Geils Band and more.

He writes his own stuff, plays an instrument, takes care of his child and puts on a pretty good show.

He doesn't take life too seriously...he has fun and his music reflects that.

    He's alright by me.

While we do have some interesting characters...you'll also find some of the nicest people who will do anything for you.

Southern hospitality is still alive and kicking down here.

I know a band on tour with him, and they also all say he's a nice guy. It's the Skynyrd/Kid Rock tour, with Back Door Slam opening. Kid Rock hangs with the Slam guys, and apparantly just treats them nicely.

Yeah, I have a place on the lake that is about ten minutes away from Hanks house. I hate how PJ and a lot of Pearl Jam fans dislike the south. People should visit before they judge.

Said perfectly. I'm not a huge fan of what he's been doing lately, but he doesn't bother me one bit.

Dont know whats been said yet but this is all i have to say:

What's even more pathetic is that Jerry ALLOWED Nickelback to play the song with him. Shame on Jerry, who care about Nickelback. They dont have anywhere near enough respect for me to even consider dissing them.

This must be bizzaro day because I dont remember them ever being cool. I can rest easier at night knowing that I NEVER liked Nickelback or Creed.

Apparently Jerry Cantrell likes both. He opened for Creed on their Weathered tour in 2002. The band actually sounds pretty decent on that video.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

They have a song called Leader of Men that came out in the summer of '00. At the time (and even now), I actually liked it.

I'm not a fan of their music...having it jammed down my throat on every station (from Top 40 and Hot AC to Rock and AC) doesn't really help their situation.

They write catchy pop-rock songs that soccer moms like...it's not what I'd like to be known for, but if it works for them...enjoy the money.

I really liked Leader of Men too. I enjoyed Silver Side Up when it first came out before it got into EXTREMELY heavy rotation and started getting annoying. Once they figured out what kind of songs would make them more popular and keep them on the radio I tuned out.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I'm in the south (not real deep) but I think we've got the nicest people in the world down here. Sure there are a lot of ignorant rednecks but most of them mean well and would give the shirt off their backs to help a neighbor.

Yeah...you could see the lightbulb go off over Chad's head as soon as "How You Remind Me" became huge.

Thank you, kind sir...I do try and live my life in the manner shown to us by that great Southern gentleman, Foghorn Leghorn. :p

P.S. I missed the six minutes when Nickelback was cool too....and Kid Rock is basically a bar band that hit the big-time. Don't hate on him, but ain't inclined to spend my time listening to him.

Anybody who sings Grand Funk on the Grammys (circa 2000) in front of a national audience earns respect in my book.

Of course, I'm biased, Grand Funk is the life-blood of Flint, MI.

Exactly. The kids ate that shit up and he saw dollar signs. Cock rock at its finest. As musicians, they're not bad but they're just wasting their ability at this point. I've seen a couple Metallica covers they've done and they're half decent.

All this video does is make Jerry look less cool.

P.s. Chad Kroegar looks like an absolute tool when he's playing guitar - those 'power' stances are fucking hilarious!

This is actually Nickleback's single worst moment. It's an abortion.

should'a stayed on his couch in oklahoma!

after hearing his solo work with that chorus pedal sound constanty masking his voice I'd of expected this palaver from Cantrell. Cunt.
