Like Ed flubbing a lyric or Stone tripping over a mic cord, etc.?
That's the idea.

"We paced ourselves and we didn't rush through it and we tried to be as creative as our collective minds would let us be over some course of time instead of just trying to rush through a record"
what hype? who hyped it? Message pit members who were going to attend?
Well of course. And there are other answers to that as well:
1) It was the "Southern" show of the tour, so many made the trip up.
2) There was a flood in '03 that cancelled the riot act show. The band, in the past, has rewarded cities in similar situations (East Troy '03, for example).
3) There was the Pit "YIELD Campaign" thing, which was a failure but was fun
4) Since 1979 The Who tragedy was at this same venue, there was a possibility of something special being played for that.
5) Local radio was hyping the gig for reasons 1 & 2
The show was disappointing to me, not because of the "hype", but because the other 5 shows I went to were just head and shoulders above the Cincy show.
Oh and they sound checked Comeback, but never played it. Grrrr...

Songs I'm hoping to hear live: Nothingman, In My Tree, Indifference, and Animal
Worst PJ experience of my life.....sure the band was great....but the two drunk fucking ten clubbers behind me, allowed me to stand in their vomit the entire show....and the left two songs in. Fuckers.
I had a great time at the show and thought the crowd was incredible. As with PRE, I was with my best friend as well and we had a blast. Nothing like some $7 beers.

Man, I forgot about those whiskey shots we took before boarding the boat over to the venue. That night was crazy!
