The New Pornographers - Electric Version
-Reminds me a lot of "Twin Cinema" more than "Mass Romantic." Pretty good the first couple of times through, a few standouts, I am hoping it grows on me a bit like "Twin Cinema" did. "The Laws Have Changed" is probably the best song they have ever done, though it is a very tough call.
The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin
-Good stuff. Finally picked up an album by them, and it doesn't dissappoint. Nice soft rock stuff. I'm not overly blown away by them right away, but still a good album
The Dismemberment Plan - Change
-Great album. One of the best of the 2000's. Fully of stellar songs from start to finish. Wish they were still together.
The Guess Who - Let's Go (CBC Years 67-68)
Jimmy Chamberlin Complex - Life Begins Again
I did however round out my INXS collection about a week before Christmas.. Shabooh Shoobah, The Swing, X, Welcome to Wherever You Are, & Full Moon Dirty Hearts
aside from that, I cannot remember
life is the study of dyin'

One of the message boards I post at has a thread where people can post what albums they have recently purchased and I thought it may be interesting to do that here. I went out today and bought:
Lou Reed - New York
CSN&Y - Deja Vu
Joni Mitchell - Hejira
The Stooges - s/t
Buffalo Springfield - s/t
Steve Earle - El Corazon
Cat Stevens - Tea for Tillerman
Neil Young - Comes a Time
Belle and Sebastian - Push barman to open old wounds (SE)
Was most likly the largest ammount of new albums I have bought at one time. Well I hope that people post in this thread and we can see what else Pearl Jam fans buy besides bootlegs of Pearl Jam shows (;=

So last night i was updatedin my winamp software and when i did so it gave me 50 free downloads from emusic. This subscription download service that honestly was not too bad. Lots of good indie music not as much mainstream rock though. So i signed up got 4 albums and cancelled free of charge
This is what i got any comments?
-Dinosaur Jr Bug
I have a lot of these songs on other releases and live albums but i wanted the new remasted album. Plus this completes my Dinosaur Jr collection I have them all now
-Sleater-Kinney- Dig me out
I got the woods a couple months ago and it is one of my favorite albums this year so i picked up this album. I like it so far... not as much as the woods yet though
-Yo La Tengo- I can hear the heart beating as one
I have another Yo La Tengo album and it was kind of hit or miss so i figured i'd give this one a shot since it was free
-Spoon-Gimmie Fiction
I've only heard songs on a firends mix cd i did not lvoe them but i thought i would give an album a proper shot.
any comments? Do you guys have these albums? do they suck?
how is that dinosaur jr.? under rated band...love them.
