It is a good album, not if you're looking for a Floyd album though... there are 2 or 3 tracks that could be on a Floyd album, still very good though!!

hey look who showed up for the NY show....maybe they'll tour the whole US leg of the tour with Gilmour?

    Wednesday 5th April 2006

Crosby, Gils & Nash get the 'Freedom' of NY

The US leg of the On An Island tour opened in a
spectacular fashion, with special guests David Crosby
and Graham Nash bringing the house down at Radio City
Music Hall. As you can imagine the show was very
special (see today's Fan Fare page for the full
setlist), but the addition of Crosby & Nash took the
musicianship to new heights. Rapturously received by
the rabid NY audience, David and Graham added their
mellifluous trademark harmonies to not only the On An
Island title track, but also The Blue, and even Shine
    On You Crazy Diamond.

As if that weren't enough, they stunned the already
delirious hordes by returning to the stage one final
time in the encores, in between Wish You Were Here and
Comfortably Numb. They performed Find The Cost Of
Freedom, acappella with David Gilmour, on the first
live occasion ever as the three of them. Find The Cost
Of Freedom is a Stephen Stills composition, best-known
for its inclusion on Crosby Stills Nash & Young's 2-LP
live set Four-Way Street. Let's hope it won't be the
last live airing from the new three kings of harmony.

The other new addition to a show packed full of
highlights was the introduction of lasers, added by
lighting maestro Marc Brickman, and used in a sparing
but completely entrancing way, sparking the inevitable
forest of mobile phone cameras. Expect to see a blurry
rendition of this inspiring visual extravaganza on a
PC monitor close to you soon...

Agreed. I just picked it up last night- impulse buy at Target, only $10. I'm only about halfway through it so far, but I'm liking it very much.
Statistically speaking, you're more likely to be pitied by Mr. T than you are to have feet.

His tour is the most mindblowing show i have ever been to, and I have been to some mindblowing shows.

The light show is fantastic. Echoes!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a Breath off the album is flat out amazing live.

the only problem i have with Gilmour is that his guitar playing is so precise that the solos kind of run together sometimes.

On An Island is really good all the same.

I really want to hear Roger Water's solo album (i believe it's unreleased right now)
Come on pilgrim you know he loves you..

Have you all checked out the AOL Sessions? You can still check out his performances. He does two Pink Floyd songs, "High Hopes" and "Comfortably Numb" and the rest come from his solo album which I really like! :)

David Gilmour IS one of the BEST guitarists in the world! His solos are amazing!!

I'm wondering if he will add any dates in those cities. I saw him at Radio City last time and would much prefer that over MSG.

I was lucky enough to get two tickets section A in fifth row (vip) they include pre-show lounge 2 drinks appetizers poster and another piece of merchandise. Together they were LESS than 1 PJ premium ticket to MSG that is 10 rows behind the pit with zero extras.

In the waiting room for MSG. Four nights here so hopefully, there will be a nice amount of tickets. I thought Monday and Saturday would be most popular so I am trying for Tuesday night.
