Spacegrass Yeti wrote:No doubt, Elephant Riders was the album that got me into Clutch. Saw them live for the first time on 12/30/06 and they put on a rockin' show. Shortly after I bought "Robot Hive/Exodus" which is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Yes! Robot Hive/Exodus is great, the video for Burning Beard is awesome. Ive only saw them once at a small campground in WV, a very small bonnaroo type thing in 2002. Neil Fallon was walking around the grounds talkin to all the campers. Most people didnt even know who he was. What a great guy. Love that band.0 -

Nice...sounds like you had a great experience. I'm going to have to find that video for Burning Beard. All I know is that Robot Hive/Exodus has been burning out my cd player the last 2 weeks...it definitely rocks hard! And if you didn't know, my name is partly inspired by Clutch...spacegrass is one of my favorite songs.0 -

Right on...love the video...thanks!
I saw them recently in NJ...it took forever for them to come on stage as they had 5 opening bands (2 were decent, 3 were horrible)...but the wait was worth it!0 -

yeah, it was a loooooong wait...clutch didn't hit the stage till about 11 pm at the earliest...and we got there at 6:30...i think we would have enjoyed it even more if we didn't have to stand for so long
hopefully next time they come around they'll do a special evening with clutch and no opening bands!
by the way, at the show they played some new songs and they said a new album would be dropping around march0 -

The Black Key's
Built to Spill
Big Head Todd and the Monsters
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
The Warlocks
Bauhaus (really cool)
Mad Season (face it not many people outside of the PJ and AiC fanbase know them)
Porno For Pyros (I love Porno for Pyros!)
Ween (gets overlooked for weirdness but an awesome fucking band with a heap of talent......THEY GOT SIGNED WHEN THEY WERE 16 FOR CHRIST SAKE)0 -
Really gotta throw a bone to the Toadies. Rubberneck is an excellent album.
Soul Asylum. Rolled out some damn good tunes back in the early to mid 90s.
Misery is terrific song...
Mad Season of course needs a mention as well.0 -
Drive By Truckers
The Dresden Dolls
My Morning Jacket
For Squirrels
plus, and if you have the time, check out their myspace page to hear a few songs (especially Mighty KC) the band For Squirrels. They were from Florida. I saw them in '95, but shortly after there tour bus crashed killing a couple band members. Very good music.
