They have 2 albums out that are just awesome. The lead singer of the Burden Brothers was also the lead singer for The Toadies just an fyi for Toadies fans.
EV Solo: 7/11/11 11/12/12 11/13/12
i listen to their new single 5-7 times a day. and their older stuff is amazing too. if you haven't checked them out yet, do. especially their second album chutes too narrow. their 3rd album comes out in january.
Cold War Kids....just go there
Xavier Rudd....folkly, tribal, rhythmic, sexy, social...the guy plays the didjiridoo!!!
Kraftwerk.....the true Godfathers of electronica/synth. Everyone's heard their music; they just didn't know who it was
Nikka Costa....FIERCE!!! Soulful banshee wail on top of '70s-style funk. Sinatra's goddaughter
Jonny Lang....skinny white Kid from North Dakota who (at the age of 14) channeled the blues and made BB King sit up and take notice
...signed...the token black Pearl Jam fan.

You have been banned for the following reason:
inappropriate post.
'Too many people on this earth. We need a new plague.' - Dwight Schrute
Duels - "The Bright Lights and What I Should Have Learned"
Song :
Muse - "Knights of Cydonia", freakin' sweet!
What I came in here to post. Love them. Boy and Girls is the best album of the year.
"Hey, if God didn’t want me to wear it so much, he wouldn’t have made them rock so hard."
Lacuna Coil
Ulver
Pain of Salvation
Boris
I second this. The Shins have quickly become one of my top 5 favorite bands. Wincing the Night Away leaked a while ago, and it is every bit as impressive as their first two albums. Truly remarkable band.
Ranconteurs, good mix of songs
Sasha Dobson (Mellow Jazz, if you want to rock this one isn't it but she has a great voice)
If you haven't listened to Wolfmother or to My Morning Jacket they are both good.
joanna newsom
isis
jesu
arctic monkeys
amy winehouse
i'd recomment listening to milky eyed meander before listening to joanna newsom's new one as it serves as an easier introduciton i think.
blood mountain by mastodon is superb.
jesu self titled album is both ugly and beautiful. like a metal sigur ros.
arctic monkeys are indeed like energetic monkeys.
amy winehouse has a voice older than her years
isis - epic post metal
Well they're not new but you're a fool if you don't listen to

tried wolfmother. just didn;t do it for me. same with mmj. maybe i just wasn;t in the mood for that particular type of music. i'll give another listen!
What you mean that monotone cross between Robert Plant and the guy from Jet doesn't float your boat? Wolfmother is like a lot of bands these days, after about 2 or 3 songs you can't take it any more, it's like one long song running together with a brief pause between tracks.

-The Replacements-
good point.
I hate wolfmother. how anyone can like that utter trash is beyond me.

No. And to whoever said the hold steady, also no.
Look at the White Stripes (Not Get Behind Me Satan, tis lame.) Also try queens of the Stone Age (Steer clear of Lullabies to Paralyze, the other three albums are great.) Also try Mark Lanegan, especially Bubblegum and Whiskey for the Holy Ghost.
EDIT: If you liked Mark Lanegan, you'll also appreciate Screaming Trees.
