    their snl performance SUCKED. i understand they are much better than they showed that night. but then, everyone sucks on snl anymore. it's like the set is diseased and saps talent right out of people.

    Completely disagree. I thought they were outstanding. There is no way to capture the total feel of their live performance in that kind of environment. However, I loved what they did.
    It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

    I find their new album boring, loved Funeral though.

    And I found their SNL performance boring.

    that's my point. snl has shit sound and shit production and any band that goes on there is going to look mediocre. pearl jam's snl performance wasn't all that hot either. i dont know what happened to that show. it's not the band's fault, it's just the way the show is produced makes all the music seem lifeless.

    I thought they put a lot of energy into their SNL performance, I'm not sure what you were watching. And Pearl Jam's rendition of Severed Hand was quite possibly the tightest version they've ever done live, anywhere. SNL performances can often be good.
