Allright, I don' t branch out much so I don' t know a lot of these bands. Someone please describe for me Arcade Fire and why they are on every one of these lists.
Arcade Fire are an indie band from Montreal. A few years ago, they released an album called Funeral that was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year. It was also very well received by those on this board. Recently, they released their second album, Neon Bible, which in my opinion is even better than Funeral. Arcade Fire are an unique entity in rock. They are a large band that has a strings section. They use all kinds of bizarre instruments, and most of their members play a variety of instruments. Almost all of them also sing. I have heard them compared to Talking Heads, but that doesn't quite do them justice. Also, they have gained a reputation as an extraordinary live band. I put them on equal footing with Pearl Jam as the best live band in the world.
It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.

I know it's a pretty boring list seeing as how all five albums are from the same band, but i can't get enough of these guys, and i just got into them over the summer, so right now that is what i listen to most. and it might be just me and i know they haven't been around that long but they seem like one of the most consistent bands as far as albums go that there are....i mean all these albums are great in my opinion, not one dull moment on any of them. They remind me of pearl jam in the sense that i enjoy every song i hear by them, and i guess the similarity stops there.
