Seeds is "out". I had my doubts cause i think Happy Idiot is ok, but didn't really stand out for me. However the album i think is really good. Some outstanding tracks like Lazerrray, Winter, and Could You.

Gonna try and check them when they play philly on Monday

Saw them a few weeks back in LA and they played about six new songs. Always interesting to hear new songs live first and then go backwards and hear the recorded version when the album comes out later. They played Happy Idiot, Could You, Careful You, Trouble, Ride, and actually ended with Lazerray because they ran out of time for Staring at the Sun. I liked Ride and Could You a lot, and thought Lazerray could sound pretty good. Hopefully I'll see them again when they come back around or play Coachella because we were up close and Dave's guitar amp overpowered everything in the mix where we were standing so it was tough to get a full take on the songs.
Need to sit down and give it a proper listen still but also liked what a heard with Winter. Really interesting album from them.

Gonna resurrect this one I started in 2007 lol

Gonna try for one of the Webster Hall dates:
    https://tvotr.bowerypresents.com/

It's great to hear a peep from them - been way too long, and had thought about them here and there, wondering if they'd ever come back. I do wish they continue to make music, though, and that this isn't just a one-off for now....

Bucket list band for me - is anyone trying to get tickets for these or other dates?

Was happy to hear the news about TVOTR coming back, even if it doesn't mean new music initially. Definitely going to try for at least one of the LA dates.

Interesting to read that Dave Sitek isn't taking part in these shows.

Their Live on Letterman set (Pearl Jam, My Morning Jacket, others did these!) was incredible. Such a beast of a version of this song:

Had to opt for premium pricing but scored my ticket for one of the LA shows. Sadly the extra $50 was probably worth not having to deal with the aggravation of fighting the AXS site during the pre-sales and on-sale.

I didn't know that either, but I can hear him clearly!  Awesome fun fact.
Listening to this song brings back memories of when this album first came out.
I'm going to go ahead and revisit this album, as it's been awhile, but I remember this album being great from start to finish.
Awesome for road trips as well.

Update: I guess TVOTR got wind of the Premium scheme and nixed it, making AXS refund everyone the amount paid over face value. That was a nice surprise!

That’s an interesting fact about Bowie! Did not know that.

Just received the 20th anniversary pressing of Desperate Youth… last week and getting excited for the show in a few weeks!

Thanks for mentioning the LA shows, I didn't know they were on tour.  I definitely will make it to one of them.

I've never seen TV on the Radio Live, and I only listened to their "Return To Cookie Mountain" album, but I loved it right away.
Going to catch up on the rest of their catalog before the show.

Just now listening to Return To Cookie Mountain again for the first time in a really long while.
Wow.  I forgot how amazing this album is. I've always loved it, but it's aged really nicely.
I want to listen to the rest of the catalog, but I will have a difficult time turning this masterpiece off.
On second thought, I may just go to all 3 LA shows... :rock_on:

Their whole catalogue is fantastic. Every winter I find a rainy day to play all their records in sequence. Hope they tour more widely next year 🤞

This was also my first TVOTR album.  I was about to take a road trip and wanted to get a new CD.  I remember Trent Reznor speaking highly of them, as they opened for several of the NIN shows in 2006.  I trust Trent's taste in music, and so when I saw that shiny, brand new TV On The Radio "Return To Cookie Mountain" CD on the shelf, I knew that it would be a solid choice.  That turned out to be an understatement.  This album rocks so hard.  Really happy I bought it that day.  Thank you Trent!

I'm currently going thru the rest of their catalog to prepare for the upcoming shows in LA next month.  I'm on the Seeds album now, and so far, amazing.  Not a song that I don't like.  Can't wait to explore the rest of these albums.

I see on TVOTR’s socials today that they’re having a “Box Office Day” to release limited tix for the NYC shows tomorrow. Maybe something to keep an eye out for LA if you’re still looking, possibly the following weekend.

I saw them at the Roxy many years ago, if any of you remember that club. I also saw Fugazi there. That place was wild - all those secret little areas with people doing all kinds of crazy things.
