Some of their new album I can't get into, but the songs that are good are REALLY good on their new album, Return to Cookie Mountain.

"A Method" and "Dirtywhirl" are awesome Beach Boys-ish tunes, and "Wolf Like Me" is just fuckin great rock. Every song on this album sounds different from one another, and I can't totally place their sound, because it's all over the place. Very cool band.

'I was a lover' is my favorite song on this album. But indeed it is good. I would like to see them live.

  • TV on the Radio are excellent, every song on Return to Cookie Mountain is brilliant. Desperate Youth is great but Cookie Mountain is sth unbelievable. It's a rare thing for me to like, I mean really really like every song on an album. I don't understand too what part of the album you couldn't get into?

There are several types of music being done on return to cookie mountain, therefore it would be difficult to pin down one particular style that these guys play. since the music all sounds different from one another on this album, i don't dig a few tracks on there. I can't currently get into them. can't digest them yet. That being said, I like a lot of this album, and maybe I will "get" these songs later on. I don't see why it's so hard to understand- the album isn't exactly accessible to the average listener. The album for the most part is great though.

Yeah I guess I understand what you mean but to me what you say ''the several types of music being done on the album doesn't play a significant role, it actually makes me to like it more. I think it's a great, rather succesful ''collision'' of music styles, it seems to me that it functions great as an unity. I didn't go to bisect the music in styles and I wouldn't recommend it to no one. These styles are actually 1 feature - TVoTRstyle, and that's the thing that makes their music timeless in a way. /That's just my humble opinion/

Oh yeah, I definitely think it's cool what they're doing- they're so unique that you can't place them- but I just don't like some of the music that comes out of that. They are a very talented group however.

And that's the beauty of the variety of opinions and a simple truth lies in it; we are all unique (like TVotR) in an non-unique way.

I missed them at lolla because I waited up front for PJ. I'm also pissed I missed Amy Winehouse pre all out train wreck too, but I got to be in the 10th row for PJ so it was worth it

I just discovered "Hours" off their last album, what an awesome beat/groove/whatever. I love this band, I'm pissed I missed them at Lolla last year!

Can't wait. Love TVOTR. Wondering if the two singles they released last year will be on the new album or if it will be completely fresh. Loved "Mercy."
