According to folks on atease the boxes are being delivered by private couriers (i.e. guys in their own cars with no uniforms). This is in the UK so hopefully it'll be tomorrow or next Monday/Tuesday in Ireland? That's perfect for me cos exams are finished on Monday and the last thing I need before then is such a big distraction.
The work day is sloooooow. Wish this discbox would arrive at the office.

I know Down Is The New UP was recently recorded. It has changed from live to studio. Different beginning. It's my favorite....next to Bodysnatchers and All I Need.
I must admit that I wussed out and downloaded CD2 as soon as it was available. I cant wait to hear the album on vinyl! It will be amazing!
1. "MK 1" – 1:04
2. "Down Is the New Up" – 4:59
3. "Go Slowly" – 3:48
4. "MK 2" – 0:53
5. "Last Flowers" – 4:27
6. "Up on the Ladder" – 4:17
7. "Bangers + Mash" – 3:20
8. "4 Minute Warning" – 4:06
Of these tracks does anyone know which ones were recorded recently (post-HTTT)? I know some of these go back as far as ok computer
They've all been recorded recently. Many have existed and been performed live for ages- such as Nude. The actual recordings all come from recent sessions for the album.

Yep, everything's been recorded since the end of the tour last year. (Last show was 2006-08-28 in Amsterdam to put a date on it.)
got mine yesterday. looking forward to listen to the album on 45rpm vinyl...to bad my turntable doesn't work properly. anyone notice all the pictures included on cd2 when you put it into the computer?
I got mine today! I'm really impressed with everything this band has done with the release of In Rainbows. What sold me on buying it was that the shipping was included in the price and it got here quickly. No bullshit excuses about shipping overseas either - I got the shipping email last Friday and got it in under 5 business days) and the whole thing looks fucking awesome...plus it's a great cd (i've only listened to cd 1 so far).

A girl could get used to this kind of treatment.
I agree! I was very surprised to see the package waiting for me so soon. I figured that since the shipping was included and it was going overseas it would be here after christmas.

sorry i meant originally written... like from what sessions did they all come from? Was only Nude from ok computer sessions? i thought last flowers was old too?
got mine today in massachusetts, and it looks pretty spectacular. I made my computer desktop as one of the images on the second disc as well and it looks pretty snazzy. The box was expensive, but they certainly didn't skimp on the packaging and presentation. well done.

Four of the songs are old:
"Nude" was played on the OK Computer tour. It was most commonly known as "(Don't Get Any) Big Ideas" but the title "Nude" was often thrown around when someone saw that title on a setlist.
"Last Flowers" was "written for Ok Computer" according to something Thom said quite a while back when the song was still unheard. I don't think the song finally surfaced until recently.
"Up On The Ladder" was played during 2002 tour when they premiered the new Hail To The Thief songs. It used to be a straight ahead rock song but it was totally overhauled for In Rainbows.
4 Minute Warning is believed to be the song "Neil Young #9/Bombers" that Ed mentioned in his Kid A/Amnesiac diaries. The 2006 live version was very commercial. Once again they tarted it up for In Rainbows.

If this was on the album in place of House Of Cards...it would be a tad better, IMO.

the design of the "box" is really nice. thinking of framing it.
Thought it had come today so I cycled over at breakneck speed to the post office........ but it was a package for my dad. :(
Tix for the second Dublin show have eased my disappointment slightly.
It was worth the wait though. It's a thing of beauty and if need be I could bludgeon someone to death with the thing. Just sayin'.
Down Is The New Up is truly fantastic.

Sorry..i'm gonna go listen to some masculin North American stuff now...now where did I put my Nickelback cd?
BTW Up on the ladder is my current favourite...pretty infectious little riff.

I'm pretty sure the rest of the songs are new.
And I love it. The vinyl sounds great. (and has to be played as a 45)
