i just listened it once but i'm loving it.

did anyone actually think they would make another siamese dream? that is way in the past, to me it was obvious they would pick up from where machina left and it seems like that's what they've done. machina had some great stuff as well so i'm quite ok with this. great energy, good dynamics, and billy sounds great, what else could i ask for?

btw, tarantula kinda reminds me bodies, which is just another reason to love it :D

I was hoping for a new Today ;)

THAT SONG BLOWS. I'm sorry, but its not very good. Compare it to ANY other Smashing Pumkins single and it will get defeated......Remember when everyone was saying "It doenst matter if Iha or D'Arcy arnt in the band. Billy does everything on their records.", well thats total BULLSHIT! This song sucks!

How is it bullshit? Billy does do everything (except drums)

tarantula is second behind linik suck

  • At first I didn't really like it but it grew on me FAST. I love it now.. It's a pop song.

"You're the real, if real ever was.... just becuz,... you're real, if real ever was..."

what the hell? Kind of a crap line... but think about it as a pop song. It's pretty much a perfectly written chorus. Catchy as hell.

The crowd at the Orange Peel Saturday night exploded when they played it.

I'm a huge Pumpkins fan, but I think Tarantula is terrible.

The first time I heard it I thought it was an AFI, or 30 Seconds to Mars-type band.

Tarantula is the best single they've had since Cherub Rock (unless you want to count Muzzle, which was a single in Europe). And I plan on buying as many copies of Zeitgeist as possible so I can have all the B-sides!!

Bleeding the Orchid is a goodin. Starz is nice but probably my least favorite of the new songs right now.

Corgan seems to have knocked this one out of the park. I can't wait to hear the 50,000 vocal layerings that are supposed to be on the album.

Nah, Stand Inside Your Love ;)

Best received since MCIS which we all know was a singles machine like SD.

I wonder what the video is like...

  • I've heard Tarantula a few times now and I still think it's overhyped. I dunno, I just can't get into it. Maybe I'm not hearing the hook which is supposed to be making it such a great single.

Stand Inside Your Love... now that's an awesome Pumpkins single.

One of my all time favorite songs. Probably in the top 5 or 10 if I sat down and figured it all out.

And people say Machina sucked.. pff.

Machina was great for what it was. However, Corgan's strength is writing straight up rock n' roll/metal/alternative music. Stand Inside Your Love was one of the better songs from the Machina era as well.

    hell yeah

thats one of the greatest love songs ever written (im not trying to sound like a pussy)

i wish i wrote that song, the lyrics are amazing

    You and me
    Meant to be
    Immutable
    Impossible
    It's destiny
    Pure lunacy
    Incalculable
    Insufferable
    But for the last time
You're everything that I want and ask for
    You're all that I'd dreamed
Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love
    Protected and the lover of
A pure soul and beautiful you
    Don't understand
    Don't feel me now
    I will breathe
    For the both of us
    Travel the world
    Traverse the skies
    Your home is here
    Within my heart
    And for the first time
I feel as though I am reborn
    In my mind
Recast as child and mystic sage
Who wouldn't be the one you love
Who wouldn't stand inside your love
    And for the first time
I'm telling you how much I need and bleed for
Your every move and waking sound
    In my time
I'll wrap my wire around your heart and your mind
    You're mine forever now
Who wouldn't be the one you love and live for
Who wouldn't stand inside your love and die for
Who wouldn't be the one you love

seriously. so amazing. and if you've heard the storytellers its really something how he came up w/ the lyrics for stand inside... it all just came flowing out apparently. pretty insane. i think he says something like he wrote the entire lyric, except for 'who wouldn't stand inside your love' which he already had, in 15 minutes.
