Hope you're kidding about Lars...I love Metallica just as much as the next guy, but Lars is seriously not that good, even for the style he plays.
You want a groove-metal drummer who's 10 times classier???
Vinnie Fuckin' Paul.
Pantera.
Word.
If I had to give a top 5....
Bonham (he never played a bad or un-classy part in any Zeppelin song, ever)
Moon (a little over the top, but he invented power drumming/lead drumming)
Grohl (any doubters after Nirvana were put to sleep when Songs For the Deaf or the Killing Joke albums came out. Just phenomenal.)
Vinnie Paul Abbot (see above - best metal drummer)
Jimmy Chaimberlain (Billy knows what he has)What I Should Have Said...Was Nothing.0 -

Yeah, but the questionw as top drummer, not best chemistry.
And I play drums too, and Meg isn't anywhere near a good drummer.
Best female drummer? Easily Janet Wiess from Sleater-Kinney. Now that girl had chops.Horry Kow!0 -

That guy from Mastadon is totally tasteless...all he does is fill and fill and fill...
Has he ever played a beat in his fucking life?
Also, I am no Tool fan whatsoever (pretentious fucks), but I can at least admit that Danny Carey is incredible. What I Should Have Said...Was Nothing.0 -
Meg White gets such a bad rep, considering she had never drummed before starting the White Stripes with Jack.
Thomas Pridgeon is a power house.
Lars Ulrich is a fucking power house.
Jose Pasillas is just awesome.
Neil Peart is just Neil Peart.
Eels' drummer is just so much fun.If I could, think I would give in.0 -
