I've heard June 24 from at least a couple sources but it's not even listed on metacritic yet, so who knows?

I can't say enough about this band. I went to a little club a few years back on a whim with my friend and this band was playing. What a surprise when they started playing! It's a 2 piece Husband and Wife band from Portland. She's on Guitar and He's on drums and everything else. Some of their songs are soft and mellow, and others will melt your face off. She's like the female Mike McCready when she wants to be. This band came out of nowhere to be one of my favorites. I hope this is a band that you haven't heard of yet.

I'm a fan of the Black Keys but the new CD is not good IMO.

the new black keys is amazing, a total grower, i love it

can't wait to see em again

ok so my recommendation is the new black keys lol

also check out black mountain - into the future and black lips - good bad no evil

all great bands... just a weird coincidence on the names

oh yeah and ive been told to check out the new 'man man'..i haven't heard it yet but ive heard good things

wow i never heard anyone mention ween on here... yet they are truly legends to those who follow them. most maybe know a couple stupid songs they wrote when they were younger... 'White Pepper' is where you need to start... then the live in chicago DVD... or just wing it and see em live... completely mind melting live

ween you must own: white pepper, quebec, and la cucaracha. those are the easiest for someone new to ween. if you like those then dig a little deeper to chocolate & cheese and the mollusk. then pure guava, godweensatan, 12 golden country greats, and the pod. enjoy them, they have a lot of fun and have an interesting take on songwriting and put on a mean live show.

    check out
    Elliott Brood
    Mason Jennings
...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead
    Apollo Sunshine
    Bright Eyes
    Cassino
    Elbow
    Interpol
    LCD Soundsystem
    Lovedrug
    Minus the Bear
    Seu Jorge
    The Slip
    Spoon
    We Are Scientists

I saw Man Man open up for Modest mouse a few months ago. What a trip!!! When they all get playing the drums (or just something to bang on) all at the same time while screaming and running around the stage, it will scare you a little bit. It was like seeing an unknown tribe in the jungle for the first time. They had war paint on, they were all dressed in white, and they didn't take a break in between songs. Then I heard their album and it sounded like the beatles.
