This album is awesome. It is early for me to rate it but i can tell it is going to be one of my favorite white stripes ablums. I just got it a couple days ago and it fuckin rocks!

I think this album will eventually be my favorite of theirs. I absolutley love "You dont know what love is". The part where he sings "I'm going to lay right into you" and plays a nice little riff always gets me. Love that tune, and would think it has the greatest chance at being their next single.
FYI, I work at a radio station....it is their next single.

probably cos people were too busy creating Cornell threads.
This album is best album of year so far...

"300 M.P.H. Torrential Outpour Blues" – 5:28
"Conquest" (Corky Robbins) – 2:48
"Bone Broke" – 3:14
"Little Cream Soda" – 3:45

"A Martyr for My Love for You" – 4:19
"Catch Hell Blues" – 4:18

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

laugh out loud. i know your frustration my brother. in my honest opinion cornell's music isn't even second rate at present

I would have to say Martyr is definitely one of the best, if not the best song on the disc. It's funny how some of the favorites posted on here are towards the botttom of my favorite songs on the album. That said, I don't think there's a bad song on it. I guess it just goes to show how strong of an album it is.
my favorites have bounced from 300 mph..., to martyr, to little cream soda. but i seem to be liking the other songs more and more as i hear them. this album has much more depth than any other white stripes album. i think that jack and meg are both at their best and i hope they keep improving.

Haven't yet heard the whole album, just the premiere on cfny. Favs include Icky Thump, rag n bones, Conquest and Little creamsoda. I love hearing new music live, this show will kick some ass.
Here's hoping for a thunder and lightning show.I've got floors,, no green grass marks or rain on me.
They are also so awesome for playing impromptu shows, like on the bus, in a school or bowling alley. They played NUNAVUT! for 600 people.

the new album is rocking my socks off and into the hamper. they will then be rocked into my washer, followed by the dryer. then they will be rocked back onto my feet. shortly after they will rock my socks off again....and the process continues
there'll be time for laughin'
there's no time to cry
soon i will be leavin'

HAHAHA!
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
Great album for sure...I dunno if it beats Elephant though, that album is fuckin classic...saw them live here in New Brunswick a few nights back...best show I've seen in a long time. They played Icky Thump, You Don't Know What Love is, 300mph blues, I'm Slowly Turning into You, Effect and Cause and a bit of Rag and Bone in a sweet medley. That's just shit off the new album to, they played something like 27 songs altogether and man was it rocking.
Also for any fans of Get Behind Me Satan(or any haters actually) they did an absolutely ballbusting version of The Denial Twist, with very heavy distorted guitar...definitely the highlight of the night.
I love this cd. Right now my favourite has got to be I'm Slowly Turning Into You. Every song is good though. I just saw them in Calgary a while age and it was awesome.

Honestly I don't care for Rag and Bone, but the rest are gold. Catch Hell Blus and 300 mph torrent are pretty much tied for #1 atm.
Really!? That's one of my favorites off Icky.

Same, but I would include "You Dont Know What Love Is, You Do As You're Told"
