It sounds like they're baggin' it but you can never say you're baggin' it.

Cancelling a festival appearance in Brazil based on doctor’s orders… hope it’s nothing serious.

Seems tricky to shoot down to Brazil for a one-off then pick up more US shows a week later
Agreed, and it's not like they've cancelled any other shows.

I had that thought too.  Hopefully okay though.  Gotta be tough being on the road this long when you've had your share of demons to battle.

Yeah I’m sure they overlooked the logistics of traveling to Brazil for one show but at the same time they should of of realized it before agreeing to it!

Obviously I'd feel terrible for suggesting it if someone is legit nursing something, but it happens.

I was at Newport Folk Fest and Noah Kahan cancelled his set last minute due to vocal cords issues. Played headlining shows the next 2 nights in VT.

He was with the band 2 years before forming QOTSA.
I never knew that until I read Sing Backwards & Weep last summer.

Lanegan tells a good story about Hommes tagging along w/ him when he was looking to score while on tour. Everyone thought JH was a narc because he looked too young & healthy to be looking for smack.
literally finished this book a few days ago. this was near the end. ML nearly got JH killed. was quite the read! I have a signed copy.

  • Some December dates were announced for the southwest... thank goodness that's all... I don't want to miss any local shows, and my wallet needs a break.

Ha. My wallet needs a break so I was thankful there was nothing close when the tour was initially announced. Then QOTSA finally announced local dates for me this morning, exactly when I’m not ready to act on tix (but probably still will). Oof.

well, I guess as is always happens, bands get too big to tour Canada. Queens came to Winnipeg every album cycle, sometimes more than once. Last time they came here was May 2018. Fantastic show.

Oh well. I've seen them 5 times.

May was the first time they came to back to New England since 2018... & the Portland show I saw in August wasn't sold out... there were GA tickets available the week of.

I bet they'll be back your way.
