Just bought Villains...looking forward to delving into that one. My favourite Queen’s album is undoubtedly Songs for the Deaf. In a hot Australian summer there’s nothing better than cranking that bad boy with your car window down and arm out the window. I think Lullabies is underrated.

It took  me awhile but I’ve really grown to love this band. Like Clockwork sealed the deal, but I’ve worked my way back and really like about all of it. Still need to grab the self titled.

I couldn't really disagree more with that assessment, but it is still a pretty good album.

Yes, I too agree. That's the one I go back to the most in the '00s without skipping any tracks. I like Rated R and Songs for the Deaf, but I always skip some tracks. Era and Lullabies are both solid.

this seems to be the disconnect. a buddy of mine is a hardcore queens purist. loves the first two records. hated era and lullabies.

but he can be kind of a dick, so.....

The QOTSA account? He doesn't have his own, does he?

Was hoping for Crooked Vultures since Jon and Mikey are busy with MM, but I'll take a new Desert Sessions.

Almost 2 years later, and Villains is still one of the foremost albums in my current rotation. I've listened more times than I can count, and I still can't get enough of it. (listened to it twice through to start my work day this morning)

I love every QOTSA album in it's own right... some more than others of course, and I could never pick a favorite, but God damn, Villains is perfection.

Side Note: I'll never understand how people don't like Era Vulgaris... That's a play through album for me, I don't skip a single song.
