that's right, though I wouldn't forget Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers when talking about best punk ever.
And Joe Strummer solo or with the Mescaleros was awesome as well.Stone: Thanks for the pick and the night of complicity, you rock!

Just bought Combat Rock on Saturday night. Love listening to Straight to Hell. Reminds me of the Pearl Jam shows (albeit, it always comes at the end of the show).0

Bad Religion only exists because of bands like the Clash. Punk peaked with the Clash's first album. Not that there weren't good punk bands before and after the Clash, but none of them were ever as good as the Clash's self titled. They broadened their horizons after that, but when it comes down to it they were always a punk band.0 -

The Clash are awesome, theres no beating them. I only wish we had gotten some more music out of them.I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

i think u are a bit confused...i never said they weren't a punk band.i like the clash(don't love them though), but they sure aren't better then Bad Religion(and by the way, Bad Religion have been singing for more then 20 years)..."It was a kind of a sick, disturbed rock opera - if Nietzsche were to write a rock opera,"-Jeff Ament about Eddie's first three songs

You're right Bad Religion have been around for 20 years and the Clash still pre-date them by almost a decade.0 -
Bad Religion also never wrote songs as experiemental or adventurous as the Clash's, for 20 years theyve stayed in almost the same sound..very boring.I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.
