    definitely love tribe and gang starr.. i like the first nas record.. for newer stuff i like Atmosphere, Mr. Lif and really anything on Def Jux.

    No way, I consider the Beastie Boys major contributors to rap, in fact I believe they were recently honoured at the VH1 hip-hop awards along with Ice Cube, Easy-E and Wu-Tang Clan. The best thing about the Beastie Boys is they weren't white guys trying to emulate black guys, they've always had there own thing going and I think they deserve respect as a rap group.
