I'm looking forward to seeing them next year :)

It's a bit bloody hard to be the same band if your lead singer dies...but i'm not going to expect them to wallow away and stop making music just because Layne died.

    Rock on!

I saw them in 2006 and they were superb.

If someone dies, it doesn't mean that the rest of the band have to just stop making music together.

I saw Blind Melon a few weeks ago, and despite Travis Warren being a complete weeeeeeeener rip off of Shannon Hoon they were bloody good!

yeh i mean pearl jam isn't the same without Matt Chamberlin.

Saw AIC at download festival 06 on their first world tour back and it was awesome, then saw them at the Astoria and was sensational.

Cant wait to hear their new stuff, i wasn't around to see AIC in the early 90s so its great to see most of them. Im not loosing anything becuase they are making music, its all ++++.

Come on, you KNOW that's not the same.

I know it's never the same when it's the lead singer that's no longer with a band, but I'll give the 'new' Alice In Chains a go.

I understand when people say "it's not the same without Layne", but I'm not gonna deny myself some great music cause he passed away.
Possibly the new stuff won't be great, but I'll at least give it a chance.

I was a massive Blind Melon fan, even bigger Shannon Hoon fan but I really like the new album.

  • I'm interested in anything Cantrell puts out...I don't care what he calls the project.
