My sister is really into punk. I'll go ask her later, haha.
For now I can tell you these ones: Antiflag, Circle Jerks, Toy Dolls, Replacements, Sham 69, Generation X, Dead Boys, Stiff Little Fingers.
I know there are others but I don't remember the names. I'll find out.
Yeah, so I asked my punky sister and this is what she had to say:
Sorry if some bands were already mentioned...
Operation Ivy (you can actually download a lot of their music at their site.)

but there are TONS more out there.
Even if you don't like myspace,
sometimes it's a good place to find music!
Don't do a music search though, that got me nowhere.
Just click people with mohawks and blue hair,
and you might just find yourself knowing a new punk band from their page xD

transplant wrote:Husker Du - Zen Arcade. It is a semi-concept album about youthful rites of passage. It rules. It will keep you busy for a little while."I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0

social distortion, dropkick murphys, flogging molly, the misfits.
Personally I think anti-flag sucks. My buddy took me to a show once and like someone else posted it was half music, half him preaching about how much bush sucks."Tonight we're just gonna play you some good old American Rock and Roll." tom petty-7-15-050 -
A few mentions for Throw Rag. I gotta admit I had never heard of them before, but saw them open up for the Pogues about 2 weeks ago in Anaheim. They put on a very good show, impressed by them.
And speaking of the Pogues, if you mention the Dropkick Murphys or any type of Irish punk, it goes back to the Pogues/Shane Macgowan.
And to follow up the Dead Kennedys mention, check out Jello Biafra & The Melvins. Even heavier music than the DK's, with Jello's usual straight on take on current events."You're no help," he told the lime. This was unfair. It was only a lime; there was nothing special about it at all. It was doing the best it could.
