I listen to this song every day and realize how frickin' awesome it is. It was truly a surprise to see it twice in 2008, and I'd love to see it in Philly again this year.

their version of evacuation is top notch... i definately recommend checking it out... being there in person was actually funnier... mike had no clue what the fuck was going on...
it's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...

Stone was playing in the wrong key and Mike couldn't figure out what the hell was wrong.

I think someone handed Stone the wrong guitar.
regardless...it was funny as shit... i laugh my ass off whenever i listen to that boot

yeah we were down there...i got all excited, wished they would've given it another shot....so we need that Evacuation fixed up and ready to rock at the spectrum!!!
I still don't get why people don't like this song.
Because it's challenging musically. What sounds genius to one person sounds "awkward" and "herky-jerky" to others. Those are the most common complaints I hear about Matt's songs. I just don't think some people have the capacity to enjoy his songs. They want everything to have a steady "groove".
Other folks seem to focus on the two "Evacuations" sung in the chorus instead of everything else thats going on.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to whoever from the band reads this board. You made my night playing "Evacuation" last night.
Since 2003, the band has played "Evacuation" 2.5 times. I've been there each time!! It's destiny.

What are the chances that the band plays a FULL version of "Evacuation" in Bristow/DC this year?

they should play much more 00 era pj than they do - seeing as its pretty much their best era

This is probably the reason really... which is a shame.
Oh man, I hope they play this at Philly 2 or 3.
