I know I know, wrong place but I gotta ask in case anyone has heard anything....

I see the show in Missoula got canceled last night because Maynard has an infection in his throat....anyone hear if the show is going to be canceled tonight in Everett?

  • i read yesterday that someone called the venue and they knew nothing about it being cancelled , there is nothing on the website either but apparently maynard is sick with some throat thing so who knows ...

    oh and btw FLOOD!!!!!!
    {if (work != 0) {
    work = work + 1;
    sleep = sleep - work * 10;}
    else if (work >= 0) {
    reality.equals(false);
    work = work +1;
    }system("pause");
    return 0;}
  • a few more tickets were released for the Everett show today @ 12:20 pm, so that's a good sign...
  • nothing is on their website about it being canceled. Have a good time. I saw them twice this year. Two great shows. Youngstown, OH and Reading, PA. Youngstown was my first Tool concert.
    Oh help me, help me from myself!!!

    Theres not going to be an accoustic version of Blood or anything like that, so feel free to sit down.

    Wrong board, but interesting nonetheless. Of course PJ would have a way for fans to communicate. Maynard--take note. Tool is the second best live band on the planet. Does anyone know who's been opening for them?

    Trans Am opens for them. Overall pretty good show, few notes, they've played the same set for the last 20 shows, mostly new not much old stuff which is standard for TOOL. Maynards voice can barely be heard for most of the show, he stands at the back in the dark so if you don't have good seats you can't really see him for most of the show. And of course no encore but if you know Tool this is pretty much standard. Overall I loved the show, but being row 1 center floor might have biased me.

  • Saw them in Kelowna on Thursday. What a bunch of drunken rowdies (the fans). Maynard stopped the show twice with "Has the meth worn off yet?" and "I don't want this to be the soundtrack of someone's funeral." Show made it worth standing in line for almost an hour (showed up an hour after doors opened) in -10 degree weather.

    Hey, thanks for this. I've been all over the Tool site and in 15 minutes PJ fans come through. Never heard of Trans Am before. Maynard's voice sounds shot but I'm there to see the whole band and especially Danny Carey. Saw them in Sept 06 in LA and was completely blown away. Now with the miracle of Stub Hub I can see them again and not afford a T-shirt, (Tool t-shirt or otherwise). Wish Ed and the guys would take them on next.

    I do agree about the drunken rowdy fans, there were a bunch in Houston. They were the kind of drunks that were just looking to pick fights if you just looked at them but how could you not with them stumbling all over the place. I saw this guy pick a fight with a limo driver and another drunk ass apparently scared a cab driver to death almost it seemed, what a bunch of dumb asses.

    bunch of fuckin crazy asses, but there were some cool fans too. Ran into a couple of high school friends I hadn't seen in 6 years.

    Does anyone know if Trans AM plays the same set each night? I really liked their opening song for Houston but can't find a setlist, and they have 6 or 7 albums to go through on rhapsody. Any help finding the song would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Tool fans suck, except for those on this board of course. Although good live, they are not the 2nd best; not even close. Without Danny Carey, they wouldn't even be worth seeing.

    love Tool, but I gotta agree with this guy, they are very boring live, without Danny they are nothing

    NO KIDDING.
    god, it made the show seem sooo incredibly short.

    I heard the Victoria show was supposed to be THE event of the year. And the crowd apparently got really into it (unlike pretty much every show I've been to in Victoria). One of the guys at the Sbucks across the road from my work said that he shared a drink with the drummer (and Steve Nash). Anyway, it sounded like everyone had fun and that's a good thing!

    Went to this show as well....good friends a Tool fan...I've not listened to their music.....and for me it was just an okay show....I mean the light show was incredible...the lasers...but the music itself...well course again I don't know them...need to pick up some of their music...

    as far as the fans in Houston....didn't see anyone picking fights...watched a dude jump the fence...and run towards the front....security ran after him...and while they did that his freind casually walked down to the front and disappeared...the guy that jumped the fence did have a ticket and caused this scene to get his freind in...masterful plot...now the smoking little section...man lots of smoke...and had a sweet pugent smell...pretty open.

    Yeah, the Toyota center was lit up with weed all over the place. I was in the back section 418 and that whole hallway area of the arena smelled like pot the entire night, I was just like wow! It was pretty open for the people that are into that.
    I wrote a review for the show, and I thought it was a great show musically, but I just don't get the obsession with the lights and a Tool show as a whole. I mean Maynard standing in the shadows on a platform just really bothers me. It's just weird. He doesn't do that in a perfect circle. Must just be part of Tool's artistic stage presentation. I only own Aenima and 10,000 days and the majority of the set came from those two albums. They did play the few cuts from Lateralus and "Flood" from undertow. I thought the drum off thing with the Trans AM dude was cool. This was my forst time going to Toyota center too, and it's a nice venue.
    The drunks I am talking about where in the parking lot over on La branch after we got out of the show. The behavior inside from as far as I could tell was pretty tame.
