I forgot about Idea of You.  So that's three songs that have been on sets, is that right?  Samurai, Black and Blue and Idea of You.
Three pretty mellow songs.  I hope the rest of the album gets a little darker and harder... like BTCS...

What do you mean by sets? Setlists? Can't stop is an older song that was played live and Virginia In The Rain is a newer song that's been played live as well. I agree with you on harder sounding record but Dave's writing has been getting lighter and lighter with each album. I'm A bif fan of Idea of You. Remember hearing it in Vegas in either 2007 or 2009.

^ My ears may be going, but I don't seem to hear a violin in there anywhere.

I expect that they have a sub violinist on tour.  I'll be disappointed if they don't.  I can't see TR or anyone else filling those roles.  It's essential to their sound and frankly, to their best songs.

Prepare to be disappointed.  They are bringing in someone on keys (not Butch).

Is that for sure?  I read somewhere on Ants that there were tryouts rumored.  I'd like it to be Butch, but I'll live with anyone on the keys.  I always felt the peak of their live shows was that 98- ~08, when Butch was a big part of the show.

    Definitely not violin?

It’s a fine song. Terrible fi4st single. Terrible album opener.

It works better as a deep cut.

Buddy Strong has posted from his instagram that he will be playing with DMB this summer.  No violin (that anyone knows of) unless there is a guest along the way.

Not really into DMB as much as I used to be back in the day, but I am super jealous of their fan club.  Warehouse is a pro operation...wish 10c was ran like that.

Yeah, but they were never going to make another another BTCS.  The last album showed that.

Lillywhite sessions is my favorite Dmb studio work.  I would love for them to work together again.

Speaking of BTCS, when is that going to be reissued on vinyl? This is the 20th anniversary. Still assuming it happens this year. Hope I’m not disappointed.

I've been thinking about this a lot too.

With the new album,  seems reasonable it will be an RSD first release.

New album is up for preorder. They have an exclusive white vinyl on their site, and you can also get a combo pack with 2 different vinyl bootlegs from 95 and 02. Not sure if I'll do that or just go the Amazon route...

Nah, its time for the band to move on. Maybe get a mandolin player.
