I love them. So many new bands today have such a small, boring sound. The Killers are epic, and I personally loved Sams Town and the homages to Bruce Springsteen and the like.
  • I think they're okay. They were really dissapointing live though, kinda dull :(

I still think the most entertaining thing to ever be associated with The Killers is the Justin Timberlake/All These Things That I've Done sequence in Southland Tales.

They were in the audience when PJ played Wembley Arena last Summer.

I used to love it when Somebody told me played on the radio, but didn`t looked it up more, then I heard All this thing that I`ve done and got interested.

bought Sams Town first when I heard, "when we were young", and loved the CD, then I got Hot Fuss and loved it even more, I know they are a big MTV band, but its good to see band like them get exposure, they are a good band.

  • The Bassist of the Killers is a huge PJ fan. Mark I think his name is. I think the Killers like PJ, maybe that is the connection.

Anyway, I love the Killers. Seen them twice, the first time in 05' when I was not that big of fan. That changed when I saw the show. Bought Hot Fuss (classic, btw) and thought it was near flawless. Sam's Town tried to imitate 'Funeral' by the Arcade Fire a bit too much with it's attemtps at theatrics. But still it is fun to listen to even though you know it has it's limitations and is not their best work. Kinda like 'Trompe Le Monde' by the Pixies and 'No Code' by PJ. They have that certain quality you can't quite pinpoint that makes them legit. Some bands have it, some don't. The Killers have it.

Wow, I'm suprised so many jammers like the Killers. Not offence, and it's all a matter of personal taste, but they're probably my most disliked band right now. I had to sit through them at V fest last year just to see the pumpkins up close and I wish I brought ear plugs. I was so annoyed!

They just sound too radio friendly for me...you hear a song the first time, and you think its sounds great, but after listening to the song a couple of times, it gets boring.

Someone mentioned that they had an epic sound, I think theyre kinda as far as you can get from epic. There are worse bands though...and dont meen to offend anyone, just my opinion.

I agree with this assessment of them..there is nothing remotely exciting about them...while they might not be terrible, they are completely forgettable..there are bands out there that do that post-punk sound waaaaay better than the killers do. Killers are an adult contemporary version of Interpol in my eyes. The Killers cover of shadowplay was horrible IMO, as is most of their music. As derivative and uninventive as a band that's out there today.

Thought Hot Fuss has some solid songs but Sams Town was total crap. They have grown quite stale for me because they are easily one of the most overplayed bands of the last few years. I still have yet to check out that Sawdust collection but the Shadowplay cover was quality. Saw them once on Austin City Limits and thought they seemed pretty poor live.

They are derivative (as most bands are) but still 'smile like you mean it' is a pretty good derived song.

Cant see the P.J relate but I think The Killers are a great band. The only decent band to come out of America for a while now.The have been fantastic every time I have seen them live.
