Just bought this one. I normally prefer "concert" posters...but this is just too cool.

    Emek
    ~!~ Peace ~!~ Love ~!~ Pearl Jam ~!~
  • I like his work, it fits my taste, but I also like Ames, I don't think I could say one is definitely
better than another, but what I can say is that the way in which Ames incorporates typography within their
posters is much more interesting...typography is a HUGE part of music posters and from what I've
seen of this guy's work, the type is rather boring.
    was it?....

Not being the most artistic person (i suck at drawing/painting in other words, lol) I have a possibly dumb question, but ill ask it anyway. :p

When it says 'Art Print', what material is that printed onto?
Is it paper or canvas or what?
  • pjtaperpjtaper Posts: 3,020
art print does not have a "Pearl Jam" or "Built to Spill"

A show print is what Pearl Jam sells at their shows, an art print would be just the image without the band name, venue, etc...

There is something kinda cool/interesting about this guys work....BUT it's a little too velvet Elvis for my liking - kinda tacky (esp. the glow in the dark aspect). To each their own:)
