Yeah, the epicness of No Code has just started to sink in. :D

I think No Code was designed that way, not to reveal it's true genius and masterpiece all at once but rather a slow process sometimes taking years to fully appreciate how fuckin good it really is

i have no idea what i'm on about :D
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
  • people always say this album drove fans away, I ve always looked at it like it drove me closer.

It drove me closer too in a way that I really cant describe.

It is my favorite of the albums.

It just shows that you rock! Sometimes hit me like a bag of bricks the first time. Hail Hail still kicks me in the face. But Who You Are is the one that drew ME in. The flowing rhythm, the harmony in the music. Then the bass comes sliding in. All I could think was WOW!

It drives me crazy to try to give them an order of significance, though. They all have good points and have touched me in different ways at various times in my life.

I genuinely dont think that Pj have released a duff album yet, the closest being Riot Act, we all have favourites but Ten, V's, Vitalogy, Yield, No Code, advocado and Pearl Jam mare all top notch in their own way.

I'm maybe biased, but I really think we could drool over all of them all day long.

My fave,, still ten. A masterpiece, and a true 5 star album. Its hard to think of a proper 5 star album from the last 3 years or so......and I mean like Ten, like master of puppets, like Automatic for the people, the debut RATM record, throwing copper......I'm talking records that drip with qualityb there isnt a track to skip. Sadly as records have gotton longer they have lacked the consistancy, just my opinion, when things were on vinyl and time was limited records were often awesome.

and I am aware that the 5 star records I mention were all in the era of the compact disc before you start!!!

It was just a point on quality and how its not anywhere near the consistency of say a 35 minute beatles record. Some bands seem to put so many fillers out theses days that are just utter shit
  • When I first joined I always saw people posting about how great NC was, it took me a while but I've really grown to like it, Off He Goes and Red Mosquito are two of my favs now. It's not my favorite album but I don't hesitate to throw it in anytime.
