I kinda meant variation within the album....Avacado seemed very basic, safe and ultimately quite dull to me.....

agreed, it just had a very basic/generic sound to it... start to finish.

i don't really know what to expect from their next album. i just hope it's bad ass.

I strongly disagree...for myself, it was one of their best albums, if not their best. Apart from Big Wave and Gone which kind of stalled the albums momentum, I found the latest release more complete then most of their predecessors. That speaks to the diversity of their catalogue though...we all have our own favourite.

Haha, as long as it rocks I don't care. I love it already! :)

remeber when they played an exerpt from worldwide, everyone was running around crazy trying to compare it to so many things. I just ecpect their sound but tighter, mixed in with something differant.
Some people have religion I have Pearl Jam.

    Double Album.
  • I'm looking for some Grunge-lite.

Actually, I really hope they go for more experimental sounds - bring in some different instruments, and arrangements that don't mimic things they've done in the past.

I hope for something unexpected. I agree with those of you who said Avocado was too generic. If its along the same lines, or if its too similar to any of the previous albums I'll be disappointed. I just want some songs with emotion and soul that have some impact. Not really too concerned with style, just wanna be able to feel it..that is when they do their best work.

I agree. I want to be surprised... in a good way.
