The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever. Because this is just a ride." And we...kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok? But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

i fucking loathe it... it makes me want to kill orphans and poke random, but nevertheless good-willed, charity workers in the face with a blunt cannon
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Hear the same old fucking 'i listen to real music' shit all the time and it makes me like electronic music even more as i know it is winding up the pricks that say that stuff. Im just happy i can find great enjoyment in all sorts of music including techno and electronica. i feel sorry for those who dismiss it but im not really bothered what anyone says about my musical taste. Think ill put a techno mix on just now as loud as it can go to piss all my neighbours off.

"People who listen to techno are fags" - Lol, get a fucking grip of youself.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.

I have always hated it every since it broke in the mid 90's. The fact that you have to take an 'e' to enjoy says it all.

I kinda like it... well like gothy techno music!

And Scooter... rarr! Used to be really into Mauro Picotto years ago... kinda hard house techno that doesn't involve really squeaky female vocalists :)

I can put the some of the best nights of my life down to going clubbing, some really amazing experiences. I realise that a lot of people dont like dance music but i couldnt care less, especially when im actually in a place dancing away with thousands of other like minded people having the time of our lives. I feel sorry for people that cant find the same enjoyment from it that i do.

I was at this event in the Slam Tent at T in the Park this year, was unreal and the atmosphere was incredible. Josh Wink - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=b-e7sMoVntA

Was also at this night at the Arches in Glasgow, one of favourite nights in there without a doubt. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=v4ohoGHvfvs

one second you're saying you couldnt care less and then you're saying you feel sorry for people who dont like the music...

i dont want your pity... if you like glo-sticks and blowing on a whistle to annoy the fuck out of someone then thats fine.. but dont feel sorry for people.

i personally cant stand the music, but if people like it then thats fine... i cant stand jazz music either, but i would never feel sorry for a jazz fan or a techno fan who didnt GET PJ or White Stripes or anyone else i love.

  • As our boy Mr. Vedder once said,

"Vedder used to smoke pot with some frequency, but he hasn't touched it since his daughter's birth. He also had "an Esctasy phase" at some point and even tried recording some techno. "I was listening to all this stuff on Ecstacy. But I was wondering, 'Are they writing it on Ecstacy?' I decided that the pure way to do it is to actually take Ecstacy, and then write Ecstacy music." he says laughing. "That didn't work out, but I enjoyed the Ecstacy."
