I bought a 4GB the other day. I have a little more than 600 songs on it already.
I have room for a little less than 400 more songs.

I had a 4Gb Mini, but updated to a 4Gb Nano when they first came out. I want more storage, but I don't want a video iPod. I've heard rumours of a 8-10Gb Nano coming out in late summer, so I'll hold on for that I think.

20GB with colour screen - not a video iPod, I bought it just before they were released. And I can't fit my whole music collection on it!

I have a third generation 15GB one... The battery life is getting shorter (i think), and I am constantly taking stuff off to put new music on... I need to upgrade, but I can't afford it right now.

20 gig iPod...got it in Feb '05...still running strong...although I'm waiting for it to die so I can cash in that extened warranty and upgrade.

    I've used 11 gigs...2800 songs.

Me too. Finally upgraded from my 3rd generation 10 gig about 3 weeks ago to the 60gig video. I love having all this extra space, although its filling up fast. Got about 6000 songs so far, quite a few videos (Neil Young, Flaming Lips, PJ, Drive By Truckers), and most of my iPhoto collection.

Will you be checking out the CSNY tour this year?

60g photo iPod here, and it is virtually full. I'm very happy with it...

11,800 total songs. I'm very selective of what I have on it, thats about 1180 albums of music. My cd/lp/tape collection is over 10,000 total, however.

  • Started with a 4th gen 20gig and now upgraded to 60gig Video(for space). Don't go anywhere without it, and now that I think about how could I ever live without it?

got me a nice 4th gen 40GB in Dec '04, but it was stolen a few months later :'(

replaced it with a 60GB photo, which i returned on the final day of it's warranty (it was faulty) and so now i have a shiny new 60GB iPod photo :)

    it's 100% full, 10,000 odd songs.

I don't have an ipod, but I do have a 30 GB Creative Zen. I love it. Not as slick as an ipod, but it does the trick. I love having all my music with me, everywhere I go. MP3 players are the best invention ever.

I've got a mac, so I use handbrake to rip dvd's to the iPod video format. You can either rip the whole movie, or chapters at a time. For the music DVDs I just rip each song as a seperate video, although you can't seem to play them all through at once then (I haven't really worked too hard on this end yet though, I'm sure I could just create a video playlist).

No CSNY for me, it turns out I'm out of town when they will be near me. I'm a little apprehensive about this tour, if Neil really wants to get the message for Living With War out there, a tour with CSNY and top ticket prices of $250 isn't going to do it. Still, it could be Neils only tour of the year, so it would have been worth going and sitting in the cheap seats.

I love iPods and Macs. Have owned a few iPods since Oct of '03. My favorite is the 4g nano - the best travel buddy ever!!! So small you can forget that it's in your pocket loaded full of your very best music from your computer's hd. Have a shuffle for running/cyling -- my company gave every employee a shuffle as a Christmas present last year. I have the 30g video as well...

I like to rip videos you get from bonus or limited edition cd releases. Like QotSA Lullibies and Songs for the Deaf -- 20 minute videos like this don't take as long as full movies converted from Handbrake and QuickTime Pro. Also ripped seasons one and two of that old BBC comedy The Young Ones. Remember that from the good old days of MTV??? A couple episodes of Six Feet Under and Freaks and Geeks too.

    30g video ipod.

    Best thing I ever bought.

I have about 1.8g left on it. Some things will be coming off of it, always adding new stuff.

Closing in on 6,000 songs, two videos, and some pics.

Young Ones was a great show! I'm old enough to remember its first run on MTV. Didn't realize that was out on DVD, I'll have to search it out. I've got a few episodes of Family Guy and Aqua Teen Hunger Force stored on my iPod too. Always good for a break...

Wish I had one. I have a SanDisk 1GB mp3 player, which is nice, cuz it keeps from having to burn new CDs everytime I go on a trip. But something bigger sure would be nice.

  • i got oldskool 20GB ipod lol. got exactly 3,503 songs. i dont get how some people fill up the 60 gigs...insane
    im awesome
  • I have a U2 20Gig ipod. Best damn thing I've ever spent so much money on. Its got around 2,000 songs on it now. There is a one in three chance that if you hit shuffle you will get a Pearl Jam song or U2. LOL For Christmas Mr. Cat bought me speakers for it and the kids now think its the greatest thing ever. We have it playing most days on shuffle.
