orphans blows everything right out of the water, so that's it for me.
that being said, I just realized Robert Pollard's "From a Compound Eye" was released in 06.
being that it's his best album since Under the Bushes, Under the Stars, I'd say it's definitely up there too.
"What’s Orphans? I don’t know. Orphans is a dead end kid driving a coffin with big tires across the Ohio River wearing welding goggles and a wife beater with a lit firecracker in his ear." - Tom Waits
Hands down. The new Pearl Jam will never come close to this for me.
A small girl smiles...one eyelid flickers, she whips a pistol from her knickers. She aims it at the preacher's head. And run (run, bang) she shoots him dead.

Pearl Jam's self-titled, and The Flaming Lips' "At War With the Mystics" were my favorites from 2006. It was especially cool seein both bands live in support of these albums in 2006.

agree with the dissapointments as well, i like the new tool record, but is wasnt up to the expectations, still the pot is one of the best songs they've ever made...
agree with the audioslave mention too, only memorable song on there was MOTH, but that was a damn good song...
